The Destiny 2 Moon pyramid can be tricky to find, even if you have been there before. Destiny 2 Season of the Haunted tasks players with completing the Bound in Sorrow questline, and part of that quest involves returning to the pyramid on the moon. Players will have visited this pyramid way back in the Shadowkeep expansion, but since then there has been little reason to head back into those caves. So here is the method for getting yourself to the pyramid on the moon for the Destiny 2 Bound in Sorrow quest.
- If you want to keep up with what is new this week in Destiny, we have you covered with our Destiny 2 weekly reset guide.
Destiny 2 Pyramid: When You Need To Go There
As mentioned, revisiting the pyramid on the moon comes as part of the Bound in Sorrow quest. This is the main story quest of the season, so follow the steps in your quest log to complete it. At step 36, you will be tasked with reaching the pyramid on the moon.
How exactly you are supposed to do that isn’t made totally obvious, the instructions simply say the pyramid is in the Enduring Abyss beneath the surface of the moon. Here are the directions you need to take to get there.

Destiny 2 Pyramid: How To Get There
First step is to head to the Moon. You want to land in Sorrow’s Harbor, as this puts you right outside the gates of the Scarlet Keep. Before you go anywhere, open your map and scroll to the top. The icon for this objective is higher on the map than you can initially see, but if you scroll up you can tag it and track it. This will help a lot with getting you to the pyramid.
Head in the main gate and take the door on the left to the Enduring Abyss. Follow the path ahead as it takes you down through several caves. When you enter the part of the cave that is extremely dark, stick to the left wall in order to reach the exit easily. You will emerge and see the pyramid in the distance.
Continue toward it, and take the path to the left. This will bring you around a corner and to an open area. When you get here, your objective should update and tell you to investigate the area. Move to the opposite end of the area from where you came in, and you will find a dead Cabal soldier. Investigate the body to complete the objective, then head to the H.E.L.M. to continue the quest.
That is everything you need to do to get to the Destiny 2 Moon pyramid for the Bound in Sorrow quest. For more on the game, why not check out our Destiny 2 Sever Grief walkthrough.
