Personal Touch is an ingredient needed for making certain cookies. Destiny 2 has brought back the Dawning event yet again to close out the year, tasking players with baking cookies for the various characters of the game.
Personal Touch is one of the cookie ingredients you can gather, but there seems to be a bit of an issue with it. Here is everything you need to know about the ingredient in the game.
How to get Personal Touch
Each cookie ingredient is given for a specific action. You get some for using certain weapons, or certain abilities, or for defeating enemies of specific types. Personal Touch, as the name implies, is gained through melee attacks. Specifically, Personal Touch drops from defeating enemies with melee abilities.
That distinction is important, as not all melee attacks will count, it must be a melee ability. However, even with this in mind, many players are still having issues getting any Personal Touch at all. It seems like some of the triggers might be overlapping, or not working at all. Thankfully, there does seem to be a way around the issue.
How to fix the bug and get Personal Touch
Well, fixing bugs isn't something we can do, but we can work around them. It isn't ideal, but there is a way to get Personal Touch ingredients when they are not dropping from your other melee abilities. To get around it, get yourself a glaive and get to whacking.
Seemingly, the melee ability of the glaive is fairly consistent when it comes to producing Personal Touch. Why that is exactly is hard to say, but if you need to stock up on Personal Touch, this is how to do it.
The melee ability is consistently available, unlike your regular melee abilities like throwing knives, so the glaive is a great way to farm the ingredients regardless.
