Destiny 2 is expanding the lore of the Seraphs and the Brays, which includes tracking down some of their old weaponry. The Hidden Shape is the exotic quest you need to complete to get the Revision Zero pulse rifle. Here is a full breakdown of how to complete The Hidden Shape in Destiny 2.
Operation Seraph's Shield
The very first thing you need to do is speak to Clovis at the H.E.L.M., which will continue the seasonal quest, and begin The Hidden Shape. For both quests, you now need to go and complete Destiny 2 Operation Seraph's Shield. Click that link to check out our extensive walkthrough of the mission.
The mission is quite long, and it can be difficult to complete alone. It is by no means impossible, not on the level of difficulty of a raid or even a dungeon. Still, it is a big time investment, and probably best done with a couple of friends.
Once the mission is done, return to Clovis and you will receive the Revision Zero weapon. However, the quest is not done.
Finishing 'The Hidden Shape' quest
After you get Revision Zero, there are a couple of extra steps to finish the quest. These steps will introduce you to the customization of the weapon. The first thing you need to do is go and use the weapon, you need to craft one but to do that you need to extract the pattern.
Like any weapon that can be crafted, you need to fill up the progress meter and extract the pattern before you can craft it.
Once you have done that, head to Mars and to the crafting table. Choose Shape, then go to Pulse Rifles to craft a new Revision Zero. You won't be able to make one that will be much different from your current one, but with a crafted version you will be able to level it up and unlock more perks.
Crafting the weapon completes the quest, although there will be more to do in the near future, as the multiple catalysts for the weapon become available.
