If you are trying to level up your Vanguard rank, you will come across the request for Destiny 2 Void Suppression. Destiny 2 has a lot of elements at play when it comes to its damage types, buffs, nerfs and modifiers. However, for some the term Void Suppression might not immediately jump out as an obvious request. But luckily there is a simple answer and we are here to help you out with it. Here is our breakdown of what is required to attain Destiny 2 Void Suppression.
- Void abilities have received a massive shakeup with the new and improved Destiny 2 Void 3.0 system.
Destiny 2 Void Suppression: What Is Void Suppression?
Players will come across the request for Destiny 2 Void Suppression on The Tower. By heading over to Zavala, you can pick up a daily bounty that asks that you use Void Suppression to defeat combatants in Vanguard playlists.
But what does it mean to use Destiny 2 Void Suppression? Well, of course, the clue is in the name, and you'll need to have the Void subclass equipped to even stand a chance of completing this one. The other part, however, is that you should use your Void abilities to suppress enemies. It seems overly simplistic, but there is actually a layer of difficulty to it.
The likes of grenades can often be too powerful to attain Void Suppression, and will kill any enemies before they even get the chance to be suppressed. That is of course, unless you equip the Suppressor Grenades, which make it a tad easier. These will be available across Warlock, Hunter, and Titan, and if you don't have access to them yet, you can pick them up for 3000 glimmer from Ikora Rey on The Tower.
Destiny 2 Void Suppression: How To Use Void Suppression
The issue that stems from this challenge is that most enemies won't be able to withstand the damage from your grenades, especially if you are levelled up somewhat and going through basic Strikes. If you want to stand a chance to start you will need to focus on Knights, Wizards, Lucent Brood, Servitors, Captains and any other larger enemy type that can withstand the damage of your grenade.
However, this again can be very difficult and time-consuming as you will need to take out a whopping 50 of these suppressed enemies. However, thanks to the new Witch Queen expansion there may be a way around this. If you pick up the Destiny 2 Glaive, and rank up your Artefact to level 4 and acquire the Suppressing Glaive perk, you will be able to use any Void-based Glaive, which should suppress them as you damage them. This will also allow you to use it on smaller enemies and quicken the whole process immeasurably. This works for either shooting or melee attacks.
That's all you need to do to acquire Destiny 2 Void Suppression. Be sure to head on over to our guide on the Destiny 2 weapon crafting system, so you can bolster any Glaive you decide to use.
