How Long To Beat
One new Ancestral Unique that everyone's looking to get in Diablo 4 Season 5 is the Axial Conduit. These pants are packing some seriously strong stats and can become vital parts of some of the most overpowered endgame builds.
Check out our full breakdown below for everything you need to know about the Axial Conduit Unique, including the item's stats and how you can get your hands on it.
Axial Conduit stats
- 925 Armour
- 23.5-32.5% Resource Generation and Maximum
- +13.5-22.5% Chance for Chain Lightning Projectiles to Cast Twice
- 10.5-15.0% Damage Reduction
- +2-3 to Chain Lightning
- Chain Lightning alternates between orbiting you and seeking up to 3 enemies. When it returns, it drains 6 Mana from your for each active Chain Lightning. After draining 66 total Mana, the bolt explodes for 225-900 Lightning Damage
As you can see, this Ancestral Unique is extremely powerful for builds based around the Chain Lightning Sorcerer skill. Not only will it increase the standard strength of the spell, but it can also cause extremely high burst damage with multiple active instances of Chain Lightning.
You'll also have the help of 10-15% Damage Reduction to keep you alive as your spell does the work, letting it build and build against even the toughest of bosses.
Combining this with the Lightning Rod Aspect - which gives each Chain Lightning a 25% chance to deal 50-80% increased damage, which is also doubled against bosses and CC'd targets - can be a recipe for some serious damage.
Another fantastic item to pair with this is the Recharging Aspect, which allows you to gain 1-3 Mana every time Chain Lightning bounces. This keeps the cycle going for as long as possible, letting you avoid the spell expiring when your Mana expires.
How to get Axial Conduit
Like all Uniques and Ancestral Uniques, Axial Conduit has no fixed spawn point or location, and you'll instead need to focus on any of the pre-existing Unique hot spots in the game. These include:
- Opening chests on World Tier 3 and above
- Defeating Grigoire, The Galvanic Saint in the Hall of the Penitent
- Clearing World Events like Nightmare Dungeons and the Helltide
Any chest that you open in World Tier 3 and above has a chance of dropping a Unique item, although the chances are exceedingly small and thus you shouldn't rely on this too much.
You should, however, target the Uber Boss Grigoire, located in the Hall of the Penitent. While not guaranteed, they have the chance to drop the item for Sorcerers, so you should run this as many times as you can.
You will need Living Steel in order to summon the boss though, which can be easily obtained through the Helltide by opening Tortured Gifts. Coincidentally, with the release of Season 5, these Tortured Gifts also have the chance to drop Uniques too - making this an extra effective method of obtaining the Axial Conduit.
