How Long To Beat
You may want an explainer of the Diablo 4 Berserking effect and what exactly it does in the game, along with information on what skills can make use of the effect in combat.
Diablo 4 is in many ways the same as it's always been, offering a very similar action role-playing game experience to older titles, meaning there are tonnes of loot, hectic combat, and many effects to make use of. With it being such a big game, some of the more basic information can get lost amongst all the noise, so check out our explainer of the Diablo 4 Berseker effect.
- We also explain the Diablo 4 World Tiers system, which changes based on the difficulty selection.
Diablo 4 Berserking explained
In Diablo 4, Berserking is a status ailment that can be applied to both enemies and players through the use of particular skills, talents, weapon modifiers, or runes.
With the Berserking status applied to your character, you will gain the following buffs:
- +25% damage
- +30% movement speed
This can be a massive advantage when fighting large numbers of enemies, as the increased speed lets you avoid damage, while also killing enemies much quicker.

What skills apply Berserking in Diablo 4?
Currently, only the Barbarian class has skills that can make use of the Diablo 4 Berserking status ailment, making it a cornerstone of their class and playstyle.
There are a total of seven skills that directly apply Berserking, though some others skills can change the effects and increase the total duration. We'll cover all seven skills below:
- Combat Lunging Strike - Grants you Berserking for 1.5 seconds.
- Furious Double Swing - Grants you Berserking for 2 seconds.
- Violent Upheaval - If the skill damages at least two enemies, grants you Berserking for 2 seconds. If the skill damages at least four enemies, grants you Berserking for 4 seconds.
- Enhanced War Cry - Grants you Berserking for 4 seconds.
- Battle Fervour - At max ranks, grants you Berserking for 3 seconds.
- Fighter's Steel Grasp - If the skill damages an enemy, grants Berserking for 2 seconds.
- Wrath of the Berserker - Grants you Berserking for 5 seconds.
There may be other ways to apply Berserking through talents, weapon modifiers, or runes (like other status ailments in the game) but we currently don't know of any beside the Barbarian's skills.
That's our full explainer of Diablo 4 Berserking, and now you know exactly what the status ailment does, along with what skills can apply it to your Barbarian character.
