How Long To Beat
The best endgame builds will carry you through much of the challenging post-game content in Diablo 4, whether it be any of the Nightmare Dungeons, the Pit of the Artificer, or the Helltide.
With Season 5 now in full swing, what better way to gear up a new seasonal character than with any of the builds listed below, setting yourself up perfectly for success.
Best endgame builds in Diablo 4
There are many great builds in Diablo 4, allowing for all kinds of playstyles. While you can play the game however you want and succeed, there are some class builds that are much better than others. These have all been crafted with builds from maxroll.gg in order to provide the best information.
There have been some changes in Season of the Infernal Hordes that have altered many of the top builds though, so here are some of the best possible endgame builds:
Class | Build |
Barbarian | Bash |
Sorcerer | Firewall |
Rogue | Twisting Blades |
Necromancer | Bone Spirit |
Druid | Landslide |
Best Barbarian endgame build in Diablo 4
While Whirlwind has dominated many of the best Barbarian builds since the game was released, builds based around the Bash ability have become a favourite as of late.
Skills
The skills for this build are as follows:
Skill | Skill Tree |
Combat Bash | Basic |
Violent Hammer of the Ancients | Core |
Tactical Iron Skin | Defensive |
Enhanced Challenging Shout | Defensive |
Power War Cry | Brawling |
Warrior's Rupture | Weapon Mastery |
Stats
As you might imagine, Barbarians tend to focus on strength when it comes to stats, and this build is no exception. The order in which you want to focus on your stats is:
- Strength
- Willpower
- Dexterity
- Intelligence
Strength, of course, will increase our damage output, but it's just as important to have high Willpower. This is to manage the huge Fury cost of using these skills.
Aspects, Uniques & Stones
Here are the Aspects you want to really round out the build, any Unique items you should try to get, as well as which of the new Vampiric Powers works well with it. The Aspects we recommend are:
- Aspect of the Moonrise
- Aspect of Adaptability
- Conceited Aspect
- Edgemaster's Aspect
- Rapid Aspect
- Crown of Lucion
- Paingorer's Gauntlets
- Shard of Verathiel
- Ring of Starless Skies
Aspect of the Moonrise is essential for this build, as your constant use of 'Bash' provides multiple stacks of attack speed increases. This also pairs exceptionally well with the Aspect of Adaptability, which generates more than enough of your primary resource to keep the damage going.
Best Sorcerer endgame build in Diablo 4
The fantasy of playing a Sorcerer is to have spells constantly whizzing around you, damaging anyone stupid enough to come close. The Firewall build is an excellent way to do exactly that, with constant damage happening all around you.
Skills
The skills for this endgame build in Diablo 4 are as follows:
Skill | Skill Tree |
Fire Bolt | Basic |
Greater Fireball | Core |
Flame Shield | Defensive |
Teleport | Defensive |
Frost Nova | Defensive |
Firewall | Mastery |
Inferno | Ultimate |
Stats
As a Sorcerer, your number one stat is always Intelligence. This governs the strength of your spells, as well as your mana regeneration. After Intelligence, Dexterity is your next port of call. This will give you more critical damage and, crucially, dodge chance, as you will be facing a lot of damage and need to avoid it at all costs.
The priority order of your stats is:
- Intelligence
- Dexterity
- Willpower
- Strength
Aspects, Uniques and Stones
Here are the Aspects you need to complete this build, any Unique items you should strive for:
- Incendiary Aspect
- Aspect of Shared Misery
- Prodigy's Aspect
- Edgemaster's Aspect
The best Unique items for this build are Raiment of the Infinite and Godslayer Crown, as they will gather enemies into smaller groups to focus your attacks on. In terms of Stones, we recommend Tempest and Flash of Adrenaline as your Governing options, as they increase damage dealt, and spread lighting to large crowds.
You can also check out our best Sorcerer build for normal levelling.
Best Rogue endgame build in Diablo 4
Perhaps one of the most powerful endgame builds in Diablo 4, the Shadow Twisting Blades Rogue build is a surefire way to erase just about any group of enemies that stand in your way. This build has been one of the strongest since day one, and that fact has not changed.
Skills
The Shadow Twisting Blades build, as the name suggests, makes primary use of the Twisting Blades skill. With some other skills and Aspects, the build around Twisting Blades turns it into a monstrous ability.
Here are the skills for the Shadow Twisting Blades build:
Skill | Skill Tree |
Puncture | Basic |
Twisting Blades | Core |
Shadow Step | Agility |
Dash | Agility |
Shadow Imbuement | Imbuement |
Concealment | Imbuement |
Stats
Stats are not the most important part of this build, but you will still want to focus on Dexterity. Dexterity will increase your damage output, so be sure to prioritise that. Otherwise, the stat order you should focus on is the following:
- Dexterity
- Intelligence
- Strength
- Willpower
Aspects, Uniques and Stones
Below is the list of Aspects you will want to focus on, as well as any Unique items that are beneficial:
- Bladedancer's Aspect
- Aspect of the Umbral
- Ravenous Aspect
- Aspect of Disobedience
- Aspect of Shared Misery
The best Unique item for this build is Tibault's Will, which increases your damage output when you are Unstoppable. Flash of Adrenaline and Lightning Bolt are absolutely perfect Stones for this build, as they capitalise on the time you'll spend in close proximity to each enemy, and dramatically enhance your damage potential.
You can also check out our best Rogue build for normal levelling.
Best Necromancer endgame build in Diablo 4
It has been a power struggle at the top between Bone Spirit and Infinimist for the best Necromancer build in the endgame, but the former has won out in Season 5.
This has arguably the highest single-hit damage potential in the entire game, letting you deal an uncompromising amount of punishment to any enemy unlucky enough to find itself within your sights.
Skills
Here are the skills you should unlock for this build:
Skill | Skill Tree |
Bone Splinters | Basic |
Ghastly Blood Mist | Corpse & Macabre |
Ghastly Bone Prison | Corpse & Macabre |
Abhorrent Decrepify | Curse |
Plagued Corpse Tendrils | Corpse & Macabre |
Dreadful Bone Spirit | Corpse & Macabre |
Stats
As is generally the case with Necromancer builds, Intelligence is your primary stat. You needn't worry too much about it until you start working on your Paragon Board, but where possible you should focus on Intelligence and all but ignore Strength.
The order you should focus stats is as follows:
- Intelligence
- Dexterity
- Willpower
- Strength
Aspects, Uniques and Stones
Below is the list of Aspects you will want to focus on, as well as any Unique items that are beneficial:
- Aspect of Swelling Curse
- Aspect of Grasping Veins
- Aspect of Torment
- Aspect of Serration
- Blood Getter's Aspect
- Shattered Spirit's Aspect
- Imprisoned Spirit's Aspect
- Shattered Spirit's Aspect
- Banished Lord's Talisman
- Blood Moon Breeches
- Path of Trag'oul
- Tibault's Will
- Harlequin Crest
- The Grandfather
- Melted Heart of Selig
The various Aspects generally increase your damage, which is what propels this build into the upper echelons - particularly when combining Bone Spirit with Bone Prison.
You can also check out our best Necromancer build for normal levelling.
Best Druid endgame build in Diablo 4
The Landslide Druid build has surged into the top spot for Season 5, after important buffs to Unique items like Earthbreaker and Unsung Ascetic's Wraps, combined with the excellent strength of the Nature's Fury Key Passive and, of course, the Landslide skill.
Skills
The skills for this build are pretty straightforward, as it is really the gear that brings it all together:
Skill | Skill Tree |
Enhanced Storm Strike | Basic |
Lightning Storm | Core |
Primal Landslide | Core |
Enhanced Earthen Bulwark | Defensive |
Preserving Blood Howl | Defensive |
Ferocious Poison Creeper | Companion |
Supreme Petrify | Ultimate |
Make sure that you've also unlocked Nature's Fury in the Key Passive slot, as that is an essential part of this build's overall strength.
Stats
Willpower and Dexterity are your key stats here, as they will increase your skill damage and critical chance, which we will use a lot of. Strength does next to nothing for this build, so you can largely disregard it.
The skill priority order for the Werewolf Tornado build is:
- Willpower
- Dexterity
- Intelligence
- Strength
Aspects, Uniques & Stones
Here are the Aspects you want to really round out the build, any Unique items you should try to get:
- Aspect of Retaliation
- Crashstone Aspect
- Aspect of Quicksand
- Aspect of the Umbral
- Aspect of the Aftershock
- Subterranean Aspect
- Aspect of the Trampled Earth
- Symbiotic Aspect
- Aspect of Natural Balance
- Earthbreaker
- Unsung Ascetic's Wraps
- Vasily's Prayer
- Tibault's Will
- Wildheart Hunger
- Ring of Starless Skies
As mentioned, both Unsung Ascetic's Wraps and Earthbreaker are essential Uniques for this build, alongside Legendary Aspects like Aftershock, Subterranean, and Trampled Earth. These all contribute to a massive amount of damage, making this a fantastic build for endgame Druids.
You can also check out our best Druid build for normal levelling.
