How Long To Beat
Cleansing Acid is an important resource in Diablo 4 and while it isn't the most exciting item in the game, it plays an absolutely vital role in helping to improve your chosen class. So, here's how to get it and what exactly it does.
Where to get Cleansing Acid in Season of Blood
There are a number of sources for Cleansing Acid, but the most effective method to get some is to take down Blood Seekers during Diablo 4's Blood Harvest.
To do so, you must enter the Blood Harvest zone and collect Blood Lures from defeating enemies and completing activities. With the Blood Lures, you can lure out Blood Seekers, and defeating them is the most plentiful source of Cleansing Acid.
You can also get some from defeating regular enemies, opening chests, and completing quests in the seasonal story, but if you want to farm up a decent supply of Cleansing Acid, the Blood Seekers are your best bet.
Lastly, the resource can also be crafted at the Alchemist, however, this is very costly, so we'd recommend you only do this if you don't have the time to farm it - or if you simply have more Potent Blood than you need.
How do you use Cleansing Acid in Diablo 4?
To use Cleansing Acid, bring up your inventory and select it. You can then select any piece of armour you have that you wish to remove the Pacts from. It really is as simple as that!
What does Cleansing Acid do?
Cleansing Acid is used to remove Pacts from your armour, which can be seen in the above image under the item's description. There are four kinds of Cleansing Acid: Divinity, Eternity, Ferocity, and an overall Cleansing Acid that removes all Pacts, regardless of which type it is.
Pacts are required for using Vampiric Powers, and you need specific Pacts on your armour to use certain powers.
If you want to change up your powers, or if you acquire a new piece of armour with Pacts already equipped that you do not need, you can use Cleansing Acid to wipe the slate clean. Once done, you can insert the Pacts you wish to use.
