How Long To Beat
Building your Diablo 4 characters requires you to earn skill points and invest them in the skill tree. Skill points are a limited resource in Diablo 4, so you will want to use them wisely and efficiently.
However, many players are having trouble earning skill points in the game, which is why they are flocking to the internet to discover the most effective and easiest ways to get them quickly. If you’re also in the same boat, then your search is over, as this guide provides a detailed rundown of the best ways to earn skill points fast in the game.
How do you earn skill points?
There are mainly two ways to get skill points in the game:
Leveling up
The most straightforward way to earn skill points in Diablo 4 is by levelling up your character. You will get one skill point per level until level 50, which will give you a paragon point instead. Paragon points are a separate system that allows you to enhance your character’s attributes and skills further.
To level up faster, you will need to gain experience points (XP) by following these methods:
- Playing on harder difficulties
- Completing side quests and dungeons
- Taking part in world boss events
- Playing with friends in co-op mode
Completing Renown challenges
Renown is a new system in Diablo 4 that rewards you for exploring the different regions of the game. Each region has its own renown tiers that give you bonus XP, gold, potion charges, and skill points. You can increase your renown by discovering areas, altars of Lillith, campsites, lore books, and more.
Renown challenges are a great way to earn skill points without levelling up. You can get two skill points per region by reaching certain renown thresholds. For example, in the Fractured Peaks region, you can get one skill point at 200 renown and another one at 800 renown.
To check your current renown level and progress in each region, you can open the map and select the region tab. You can also see the list of activities that increase your renown in each region.
Some of the activities that increase your renown are:
- Discovering areas
- Exploring altars of Lillith
- Finding campsites
- Discovering lore books
- Completing side quests and dungeons
- Taking part in world boss events
