How Long To Beat
The Greatstaff of the Crone in Diablo 4 is a Unique weapon for the Druid class, a highly-sought after type of weapon, as each one has a unique ability - so here's how you can get it.
Diablo 4's Greatsaff of the Crone is an incredible bit of kit that can turn the Druid into one of the highest damage-dealing characters in the game, but what makes it so special? Here's a rundown of its unique effect and what you'll need to do in order to get it.
How can you get the Greatstaff of the Crone in Diablo 4?
The Greatstaff of the Crone, like most Unique items in Diablo 4, is a random drop that can only be acquired at random. There is no specific way to acquire this exact item, so your best bet is to focus on getting as many as you can in as short a time as possible by completing events throughout Sanctuary.
The first thing to do is complete the campaign. While you'll likely pick up a handful of Legendaries that will serve a great job as you complete the story, really we just want to get to the endgame. Once you finish the main quest, complete the capstone dungeon in Kyovashad to unlock World Tier 3.
World Tier 3 makes the game much more difficult and enemies much more numerous, but the rewards are worth it. Once you get to World Tier 3, it is time to start farming experience, Legendaries, and if you can find them, Uniques.
Cellars, dungeons, and world events are great places to start. If you are up to the challenge, try Nightmare Dungeons, Fields of Hatred, or Helltide events. Any high-level activity is going to net you more and better rewards, so focus on grinding the highest-level content you can manage.
Greatstaff of the Crone's unique ability
The unique ability of the Greatstaff of the Crone turns your Claw basic attack into a Storm skill and makes it also cast Storm Strike at 120-150% of the normal damage. In other words, your basic attack is now two basic attacks at once - and they do even more damage than they would separately.
This makes the Greatstaff of the Crone an essential part of some seriously powerful Druid builds. With the right items and skills, the Greatstaff of the Crone can be the cornerstone of a build that has you constantly attacking, doing absolutely massive amounts of single-target damage, while also hitting everything nearby.
