How Long To Beat
The Diablo 4 Midwinter Blight event is coming this holiday season to bring cheer to the world of Sanctuary - lord knows it's desperately needed there. While Diablo 4 is currently flying pretty high with Season of Blood, more is still on the way with this upcoming event.
Midwinter Blight adds new quests, new monsters, new loot, and some unique cosmetic rewards to the game that players can chase down, so keep reading to learn when it starts, when it ends, and what you can get.
Midwinter Blight start & end dates
The event kicks off on December 12, 2023, and will conclude on January 2, 2024. This gives players three weeks with the event to complete all of the content and unlock all the rewards they want to get.
Exactly what time this event will begin and end on those dates has not yet been announced, so check back in the coming days as we will return with an update once that information is revealed.
New content in the Midwinter Blight event
According to the BlizzCon Campfire Chat, the Midwinter Blight event will kick off with a freezing, dark storm descending over Kyovashad and the Fractured Peaks. In Kyovashad, the players will meet Gillian, a bard doing his best to bring some cheer to this dreary place.
Alongside Gillian is the Totem of Midwinter, an artefact that will play an important role in the event. As you explore Fracture Peaks you will encounter new monsters such as the Frigid Husks and new Blight Fiends. These creatures are led by the Red-Cloaked Horror, a new boss fight for players to take down.
Something that players should be aware of, according to Associate Game Director Joe Piepiora in an interview with Screen Rant, this event is exclusively available on the Seasonal Realm. While the cosmetic rewards can be used throughout the game, you will need to play a seasonal character to participate in the event and unlock those rewards.
Midwinter Blight rewards
Killing big monsters is all well and good, but what we really want is to look good doing it. Thankfully, the Midwinter Blight event is bringing a big bundle of goodies for players to get their hands on. While we have not yet learned the exact details of these items, we have gotten a look at some of them in the images shown here.
The rewards include weapon skins and back trophies, as well as a whole host of gems and potions to keep you stocked up. There will be plenty of cosmetics to unlock in the event, giving players plenty of incentive to smack that Red-Cloaked Horror around a time or two.
That is everything we know so far about the Diablo 4 Midwinter Blight event, keep an eye on our Diablo 4 homepage for any updates on the game. For more useful tips, check out how campfires work, how to check your playtime, or how to summon and defeat Uber Duriel.
