How Long To Beat
You surely know all about Gold and Obols already, but do you know how to get Red Dust in Diablo 4? Red Dust is an in-game currency in Diablo 4 that you can use to buy all sorts of themed cosmetics and gear in the game.
This primer explains how you can use the currency, as well as what you need to know in order to get it.
To get Red Dust, you must convert your Seeds of Hatred by visiting an Altar of Extraction and performing a Purification Ritual.
Red Dust is derived from Seeds of Hatred, and the only place in the game to find them is in the Fields of Hatred. There are two Fields of Hatred, one in the Dry Steppes and another in Kehjistan.
In the Fields of Hatred, you will come across Seeds of Hatred, which can be obtained by participating in various activities like killing other players, slaying monsters, opening chests, and besting the Seething Abomination.
If you die in the Fields of Hatred, you will lose all the Seeds of Hatred on your person, and if you leave the Fields of Hatred, they will all disappear.
Both Fields of Hatred have four Altars of Extraction scattered around the region. Interact with any Altar of Extraction to begin the Purification Ritual, which lasts about 50 seconds, during which you must withstand an onslaught of monsters, plus any enemy players that decide to jump into the fray.
If you can manage to survive the Purification Ritual, all your Seeds of Hatred will transform into Red Dust.
Once you collect an adequate amount of Red Dust, you can use it to purchase special cosmetics, gamble for gear, or buy Cursed Scrolls that'll give you an advantage in PvP.
The following Vendors in Alzuuda and Denshar take Red Dust as payment:
- Odds and Ends Vendor
