Season of the Malignant is finally here, and with it comes so much content for Diablo players to enjoy in the game - including the new Season Journey Chapters and their respective challenges.

Below you'll find everything you need to know if you were wondering how to complete Chapter 1 of the Season Journey in Diablo 4, as there are plenty of rewards waiting for you on the other side that make it well worth the effort.

How to complete Season Journey Chapter 1

In order to complete Chapter 1 of the new Season Journey in Diablo 4, all you need to do is finish seven of the nine available objectives. This is perfect if you're struggling with one or two particular challenges, as you can then just skip them over in favour of the other easier options.

You can choose any seven of the nine objectives available listed below, and they don't need to be completed in order either:

Objective Name	Objective Requirement
The Hangman's Garden	Collect 15 Gallowvine
Heart of Corruption	Collect a Malignant Heart, which is available after completing or skipping the campaign
Den of Evil	Complete any Dungeon found on the map
Trouble in the Wilds	Complete any World Event found on the map
Into the Frozen Dark	Complete three Dungeons in Fractured Peaks
What Lurks Below	Complete a Cellar found on the map
Kind Stranger	Complete five priority or side quests
Keeper of the Keys	Collect a Whispering Key, sold at the Purveyor of Curiosities
Waste Not	Salvage 10 Normal items at the Blacksmith

As you can see, the objectives here are fairly straightforward - especially to any seasoned player - and should be easily completed on your travels throughout Sanctuary. If I were to recommend two that you should skip, it would probably be Kind Stranger and Into the Frozen Dark, purely due to the longer time they would both take.

Rewards for Diablo 4's Chapter 1 Season Journey

Once you complete Chapter 1 of the Season Journey, you will be entitled to all of the following rewards:

Large Favor Drop
First Journey Cache
Aspect of Ancestral Charge
Subterranean Aspect
Aspect of Pestilent Points
Aspect of Gore Quills
Aspect of Searing Wards

As you see, the rewards on offer here are really quite attractive, making Chapter 1 well worth completing in the Season Journey. Furthermore, it also unlocks access to Chapter 2, which brings with it new rewards to claim and fresh objectives to complete in the Season of the Malignant.
