How Long To Beat
There are plenty of quests that come with the seasons of Diablo 4, and that includes a quest titled A Serpent Cornered. If you need some help getting it finished, here's everything you need to know.
How to complete A Serpent Cornered
If you want to complete this quest but your map has bugged so you can’t find where you need to go, we’ve got you covered. In order to complete A Serpent Covered, you need to find your way to the Darkened Dungeon that is hidden away in the northeast of the Yelesna region of the Fractured Peaks. This is where you will meet Erys.
Once you’ve completed the dungeon, there are a couple of steps you need to complete in order to finish the quest.
- Slay all of the enemies and confront Lord Zir
- Defeat Lord Zir
- Now that the boss is slain, you’ll receive a Vampiric Power as a reward named Metamorphosis.
The boss is quite tanky and may serve to be a challenge for you, depending on how much damage you do, and whether or not you can dodge his various attacks. Here are the attacks you need to keep an eye out for:
- Gust of Air: A linear gust of wind that follows you across the ground. Run in a circle to dodge it
- Multi-Swipe and Scythes: Lord Zir will attack you with both hands in a double-swipe motion. Once he’s done this, he will grow scythes on his arms, and swipe in front of him. To avoid this, dodge behind him and attack from there
- Blood Pools: Lord Zir will sometimes spawn in blood pools on the ground. They remain for quite a while through the fight, so make sure you aren’t standing in them. Not only do they stay on the floor, they shoot out Blood orbs from the pools, so make sure to dodge those
- Summon Blood Seeker: Lord Zir will occasionally summon a Blood Seeker. The first time he summons it will be one Blood Seeker, but by the second time he summons two of them. Focus them down and then return to damaging the boss
