How to get Hilts in Diablo Immortal & where to spend them
You can get started on strengthening your character by spending Hilts in Diablo Immortal, so this guide will tell you how to get them and where to spend them.
Hilts are a form of currency in Diablo Immortal, Blizzard’s entry into the long-running dungeon-crawling series. They can be used to purchase strong endgame items like crests, alongside various crafting materials.
So, if you’re wondering how to get Hilts and where to spend them in the game, look no further than our full guide below.
There are several ways you can get your hands on Hilts in Diablo Immortal, including challenges, bonuses, and community rewards.
You, unfortunately, cannot find Hilts as in-game loot drops at this current time, and they can only be found as redeemable rewards in the menus.
Here are all the ways in which you can find them:
Getting Your First Kill Of The Day
Perhaps the easiest way to grab some quick Hilts is through the first kill of the day reward system. As the name suggests, you are given a bonus present for getting your first kill of the day which, if you play the game for more than two minutes, you’re bound to get. Any kills count, even those on the weakest of enemies, so you have no excuse for missing this task.
While Hilts are not a guaranteed reward from this challenge, there is a good chance they will be in your prize bundle so there’s no reason not to do it, and it is something you’re likely to passively achieve anyway.
Climbing The Leaderboards
After you complete a dungeon, if you manage to find yourself in the top 1000 players on the solo leaderboards you’ll be rewarded with some Hilts. Furthermore, if you’re in a team, you’ll have to make it to the top 250 to gain a reward for that.
Completing Challenge Rifts
Challenge Rifts in Diablo Immortal are instanced levels that you run through to gain loot at the end and climb the levels. Found next to the Elder Rift entrance in Westmarch, Challenge Rifts are a great way to earn Hilts as they increase your standing on the leaderboard, which grants you the desirable currency every time you climb the ladder.
Check The Codex
Checking the codex every once in a while is a fantastic way to earn some easy Hilts. In your play time, you are bound to complete area-specific achievements that reward you with hilts, as well as other beneficial items. If you haven’t had an achievement pop in a while it’s worth checking the codex to see what your current task is as it can hold up other achievements behind it which cannot be claimed yet.
Progress The Battle Pass
Moving your way up through the Diablo Immortal Battle Pass is a surefire way to get your hands on some easy Hilts. A lot of the rewards for increasing your battle pass rank include Hilts, so keep your eyes out for those and make sure to increase when you can. You are able to purchase the empowered tier of the battle pass, which gives you additional rewards per rank, alongside purchasing individual tier skips if you want.
Unfortunately, there is currently no way to discreetly farm Hilts in the game. As they are not an in-world drop and are only accessible through the menus, there is no way to grind out hilts outside of completing the objectives that give you them as a reward.
The place where you are going to be able to spend your Hilts is the Hilts Trader found in Westmarch. You will naturally be led to the trader through the main story at around level 28, but there is nothing stopping you from heading over to them once you reach Westmarch. They can be found at the northeastern side of the city, just above the Hall of Ascension.
While you’re quietly building your collection of Hilts, you must be wondering what exactly you can spend them on. Speaking to the Hilts Trader will give you access to a number of high-value items that can be invaluable to strengthening your character, either directly or indirectly. All of the items sold by the Hilts Trader are limited in some form, either by time or amounts, so make sure to choose wisely.
In the general tab of the Hilts Trader’s shop, you will find items limited by daily, weekly, and monthly purchases. The daily limits are for your more commonly used items like Standard Crests, weeklies are for items like Gems, and monthly limits are for Legendary Crests and Gems.
Currently, the most expensive monthly limited items cost 1600 Hilts, so make sure to get collecting so you can get your hands on the best Diablo Immortal items available.
Furthermore, the Hilts Trader also has a limited-time section, which houses even more sporadic items. Instead of having a purchase limit, the limited time section is dictated by a repeated refresh after a set number of hours, so make sure to check regularly to not miss any items you might want to pick up.
That rounds up all you need to know about Hilts, including how to get them, where to spend them, and what you can spend them on.
