What Is Diablo Immortal Potency?

Diablo Immortal Potency: What is Potency?

Potency is a secondary attribute that governs the duration of debuffs you that inflict on enemies, and works by comparing itself with the Resistance stat of your opponent. If your Potency also reaches a certain threshold above an enemy's Resistance stat, you can increase the length of debuffs further, maxing at +99% against AI and +50% against other players. Debuffs include all damage status effects, crowd control (CC) effects, and weakening effects, giving it wide utility amongst a number of classes.

In general, it gives you more opportunities to deal increased damage, by either extending an effect like burning or stunning an enemy long enough to put out all of your high burst skills. It's especially useful in PvP, as CC abilities are a key part of any winning strategy and can turn the tides of battle extremely quickly.

How To Increase Diablo Immortal Potency

You can increase your Potency by levelling up the Willpower stat - with each point providing 0.1 Willpower - or by putting Paragon Points into persistent attributes on the Paragon Tree. During your time on the initial Normal difficulty, you will only be able to improve Potency with Willpower, but after you change difficulty in Diablo Immortal, once you reach level 60 and unlock the Hell modes, you will start earning Paragon Points.

Now you know the answer to the question - what is Potency? We covered how it affects combat, its uses, and how to increase it.
