The drop rate of Red Algae is very low and requires players to keep fishing until they find one. Also, there is yet to be a direct way of getting Red Algae in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
However, there are certain buffs that you can use to get the Red Algae a little faster by using the 'Miracle Fishing Bait' or the upgraded version, 'Even More Miraculous Fishing Bait,' while having a companion with the Fishing role follow you.
Doing so increases the chance of catching rare fish, eventually increasing the likelihood of obtaining the Red Algae as it drops when you get a catch.
How to get Miracle Fishing Bait & Even More Miraculous Fishing Bait in Disney Dreamlight Valley
You can get the Miracle Fishing Bait and Even More Miraculous Fishing Bait recipe by talking to Merlin after entering the Toy Story realm via the Dream Castle, which costs you 7,000 Dreamlight. When you do that, Merlin introduces you to the Enchantment system and will hand you a free Miracle Fishing Bait that you can use to obtain Red Algae to craft even more of that.
