How to get the IR Beacon on Ashika Island in DMZ
The DMZ Look Out mission is all about getting the IR Beacon from its spot. Here’s a guide for finding the IR Beacon in Warzone 2 DMZ.
If you are playing Call of Duty’s DMZ mode and completing the Look Out mission, then you’ll need to find a special gadget called IR Beacon on Ashika Island. This is a fun but tough DMZ mission that will take you to the edge of the map and make you fight a lot of enemies.
The mission is not easy, as you will have to deal with mean AI and other players who might try to stop you from stealing the beacon. With that said, here’s a breakdown of the IR Beacon gadget location on Ashika Island in the game.
How to get the IR Beacon on Ashika Island
To get the IR Beacon on Ashika Island, you will need to go to the northwestern corner of the Ashika Island map and swim or ride a boat to the very edge of the map. The beacon is on the rocks below the northern edge of the map, specifically in the E1 coordinate. You can see a picture of the beacon location below.
When you get to the northwestern island, look around its western corner. The IR Beacon is on top of a rocky hill in this area. Watch out that the rocks can be bumpy, and you may get stuck, so be careful while moving.
There is usually a boat tied near the rocks of the northwestern island. If you see this boat while you’re looking, it can be useful for getting around. But be ready to swim back to the mainland if the boat is not there.
How to plant the IR Beacon on Ashika Island
You have to put the IR Beacon on the roof of Tsuki Castle, and this is one of the scariest places on the map. Tsuki Castle is in the middle of the Ashika Island map, and this is a high-risk area full of enemy AI goons.
These AI enemies are hard to kill as they wear armor. You can get to the tallest building by going up the ladders on the south side. Once on the roof, stand by the flag, and you’ll see a prompt that shows where to put the IR Beacon. Touch and put the IR Beacon on the roof to finish the Look Out mission.
