How long is Dragon Age: The Veilguard?

The figures we've seen so far for Dragon Age: The Veilguard seem normal for modern RPGs, with a developer claiming their recent playthrough took 100 hours.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard is set to be one of the biggest role-playing games of the year, finally continuing the series that's been dormant for a decade at the time of writing. Many fans will want to know if it will be as expansive as previous games, and how long it may take to beat.

How long is it?

During an interview with YouTuber NorZZa that took place at an event for Dragon Age: The Veilguard, he mentioned that a developer said their most recent playthrough took them around 100 hours to complete the game.

The previous game in the series, Dragon Age: Inquisition, was around 90 hours for players who did plenty of side content, with completionist runs going well over 120 hours. For the main story, this went down closer to 50 hours, and I'd expect it to be similar in length here at the least.

Combat in The Veilguard

This is fairly vague, as they don't mention whether they rushed the main quest, took their time exploring, or went for a full completionist run of the game.

I would assume a 100-hour playthrough is more on the side content/completionist side of things, with the player taking their time. Even some of the bigger RPGs of the modern era don't take 100 hours if you're just focusing on the main story content.

I'll update this guide once we get more exact figures on how long The Veilguard is near release.
