The Warfarer Vocation is one of the more unique classes in Dragon’s Dogma 2 and has the potential for some of the best builds in the game.

As a Vocation that acts as a jack-of-all-trades, you’ll be using a variety of weapons, Weapon Skills and Augments to become a near-unstoppable force.

Skills

Weapon Skills

Rearmament / High Halidom / Hindsight Sweep / Sagittate Avalanche

Core Skills

Empale (Fighter) / Anodyne (Mage) / Quickspell (Mage)

Augments

Ambuscade / Dynamism / Endurance / Exaltation / Detection (Trickster) / Zeal

Rings

Ring of Triumph / Ring of Regeneration

The Warfarer is a Vocation that allows you to use all weapons, skills and clothing that you can unlock during your Dragon’s Dogma 2 adventure. However, being a jack-of-all-trades means that you become a master of none and your stats are somewhat lowered accordingly to balance out the sheer versatility of the Vocation.

To get an overall balanced Warfarer build, I opted to have a variety of melee and ranged weapons, as well as a stave to cast some replenishing spells. The Dragon’s Dogma is one of the best swords in the game, while the Militant Dove is by far one of the best Magickal Bows.

This then transferred into Core Skills like Empale and Anodyne to ensure some powerful attacks and quick healing. The Augments you’ll find above, like Ambuscade and Endurance help bolster the Warfarer’s stats, making up for what they lose at base level.

For Rings, I just stuck with the Ring of Triumph for some general boosts to health, stamina and carry weight, and the Ring of Regeneration to help keep your health topped up after defeating an enemy.

While you can pick any Weapon Skills as the Warfarer in Dragon’s Dogma 2, Rearmament is the one you’re going to need to keep for certain. This Weapon Skill lets you switch weapons at a moment’s notice, meaning you’ll be prepared for any situation that might crop up.

I paired this with some of the best Weapon skills from each of the classes this is made up of, like Sagittate Avalanche and High Halidom so that the Warfarer had both offensive and defensive capabilities.

It doesn’t matter which weapons you pick for the Warfarer in Dragon’s Dogma 2, but in this instance, I’ve picked the Dragon’s Dogma, since it’s one of the best swords in the game, and tied to one of the many trophies you can collect.

The Militant Dove is a Magick Bow that can be bought relatively early in the Sacred Arbor (if you have the gold for it) and can replenish your health by standing still. When paired with your rings and Core Skills, there should be little reason for you to lose even a sliver of health without being able to recover it quickly.

Despite its low all-around stats in Dragon’s Dogma 2, the breadth of options for the Warfarer makes it one of the best Vocations in the game. Despite being unlocked relatively late in the game, for players who want to have a smattering of everything at their disposal, this is the ideal class.

While I prefer to focus on mastering one class (shout out to my fellow Trickster mains) having an entire arsenal at your disposal is incredibly appealing, and an opportunity you shouldn’t miss out on.

If you don’t think Warfarer is the class for you, don’t worry, there are plenty of other Vocations to choose from in Dragon’s Dogma 2, including:
