All you need to know about how height & weight in Dragon’s Dogma 2 affects stats
Here is everything you need to know about how height and weight impact the stats in Dragon's Dogma 2, and if they change the gameplay in any way.
When you first fire up Dragon’s Dogma 2, you have the opportunity to make your character and Main Pawn, where you can dictate their height and weight. However, as fun as it may be to make your character very small or ridiculously tall, it does have an impact on gameplay that needs to be considered.
How does height & weight affect stats?
The more you weigh, the stronger your character is going to be, so you will be able to carry more and have a higher weight capacity. If you have longer legs, you will be able to take longer strides too, meaning you'll walk a bit quicker. On the flip side, the smaller you are in height and weight the more quickly your stamina will regenerate. It's a balancing act that you'll need to get right for your playstyle and character build.
If you want to be consistently using weapon arts and special attacks, making yourself a bit shorter could be handy. I’ve made my character average height, but quite slim so he has good stamina regeneration. On the contrary, my Pawn is huge - like a genuine giant. It means he can carry a lot of my equipment and, considering he’s a Warrior, it suits him well.
Other character variations that affect gameplay
While the gender and race you choose won’t impact the way the game plays, they will influence dialogue from NPCs and some other moments in the story.
That’s all you need to know about how height and weight work in the game. If you’re looking for more guides check out our Dragon’s Dogma 2 homepage, where we’ve already covered the best healing items, the best Mystic Spearhand build, how to unlock every vocation and more.
