Dying Light 2 Now Or Never quest is the penultimate mission of the game. And as is habit in Dying Light 2, it will offer up various choices which will impact how you see the rest of the story to its conclusion. Here you have a choice to either trust the Colonel, Jack Matt, or Lawan, but which should you side with? And what are the consequences of each? We have the breakdown on the Dying Light 2 Now Or Never quest, which forces you to choose between trusting the Colonel, Jack Matt, or Lawan.

Dying Light 2 Now Or Never: The Lead Up

Dying Light 2 Now or Never: the renegade base

The Dying Light 2 Now or Never quest always happens regardless of your choices, but how you move through it will change depending on whom you side with in Broadcast. If you choose Frank, the Dying Light 2 stay with Frank or go after the truck choice will lead to it no matter your decision. For Juan, The Colonel is the quest that leads you into it, and Assassination, if you sided with Jack Matt and the Peacekeepers.

Once inside, you'll sneak your way into the compound - or fight your way depending on how successfully sneaky you are - and enter the Colonel's main room. If Lawan made her way here first after the events of The Colonel, then she will have killed all the guards, and you can just walk in.

Here you will confront the Colonel for sending men to shoot Frank or for firing the missiles, however, the Colonel denies the former saying he only sent one man. The Colonel explains that Waltz had turned some of the Renegades against him, and that is the reason for the breach in the truce. He also explains that Waltz is behind the missiles, and he wants to stop them too.

You will then be prompted with a choice to choose between trusting the Colonel, who says Frank's murder (attempted or successful) was nothing to do with him and wants to help you find Waltz, or Jack Matt, who claims that the Colonel is lying and did in fact send someone out to kill Frank. You can also select Lawan, who has the Colonel on her hit list. This is the big choice you must face in the Dying Light 2 Now or Never quest.

Dying Light 2 Now Or Never: Trust The Colonel

Dying Light 2 Now or Never: Jack Matt will try to kill you if you side with the Colonel.

If you choose to trust the Colonel in the Dying Light 2 Now or Never quest, Jack Matt will vow to kill you if he comes across you again. The Colonel on the other hand will escort you to Waltz' chambers where you can listen through tapes. You will then meet up with the Colonel who will drive you to X13 to try and stop Waltz. However, the driver is eventually shot and killed and Matt and Peacekeepers confront you. You are forced to fight and kill Jack Matt and the other Peacekeepers, before heading to X13.

However, if you completed the Dying Light 2 save Hakon or let him die mission the Nightrunners  will turn up revealing that Jack Matt orchestrated Frank's assassination. But before you can come to blows, a missile hits a nearby building and everyone flees, and you head into X13.

Dying Light 2 Now Or Never: Trust Jack Matt

Dying Light 2 Now or Never: Side with the Colonel.

If instead of trusting the Colonel, you decide to side with Jack Matt in the Dying Light 2 Now or Never quest, you must defeat the Colonel and his men. You'll fight your way through the Renegades and lower the bulkheads so that the Peacekeepers can enter the base. This means that the water is released from the dam, and will unveil another part of the city which has been flooded. However, the Colonel and his remaining men flee into this district, so you are tasked by Jack Matt to chase them down.

The Drowner zombies are another form of exploding zombie, so you'll need to keep your distance. They are far more agile than the exploding type you'll encounter in the VNC Tower. Once you catch up with the Colonel, he'll inform you where you can find X13, before meeting his own demise. You will proceed onto the final mission.

Dying Light 2 Now Or Never: Side With Lawan

Dying Light 2 The Colonel choice

Siding with Lawan causes her to fire her crossbow at the Colonel, which his wife jumps in front of. They both escape up an elevator, and the Renegades begin to try and kill you while Lawan is injured. Fight off a couple waves, including a boss fight, and then you can talk to Lawan who tell you to find the Colonel.

Make your way to a nearby elevator and walk into the Colonels office, where he is sat beside his dead wife. He will pull a gun on you and threaten you, but you can convince him to help you stop the city from being destroyed. He will tell you how to get to X-13, and say Waltz is there, before turning the gun on himself and committing suicide.

That's all of the outcomes for the Dying Light 2 Now or Never quest, which means that you are ready to wrap things up with the Dying Light 2 detonate charges or sacrifice city choice in the X13 quest.
