EA FC 24 is coming to the end of its lifecycle as the European football leagues begin to wrap up their seasons, which also means we’ve seen the last TOTW in the game. For any fans of Liverpool, Arsenal or Bayern Munich this is likely great news after the previous weekend of games.
Liverpool and Arsenal dropped points in a tight title race, while Bayern Munich had to watch another club win the Bundesliga for the first time in 12 years. However, just because TOTW is done, it doesn’t mean the game is finished - there are still a few promos to look forward to before the end.
Why has TOTW ended?
TOTW has ended because it’s time for Team of the Season (TOTS). This event takes over from TOTW and sees us through the end of the season, before the promos in the summer that see the game out.
To recognise the different leagues in such a condensed period, we end up with two TOTS squads releasing a week. Traditionally, this would be for one of the more popular leagues and then for one of the less popular leagues; for example, the Premier League TOTS may coincide with the Championship TOTS.
What’s next in EA FC 24?
There are plenty more promos down the road, even if the game is at the beginning of the end. There will be a few weeks of TOTW promos, and then after that, there will be different promos for the summer. In previous years this has celebrated tournaments or been position change promos.
Given that we have the Euros this year, it seems incredibly likely there will be at least a couple of promos to celebrate the tournament. Then it ends up with FUTTIES, where the game’s flooded with ridiculously high-rated cards before the next game's release.
