Pundit Picks are the all-new card type in EA FC 24 Ultimate Team, but many players will be wondering what they are, how they're earned, and how often new cards come out.

Unlike TOTW or promo squads that arrive every single week in EA FC, Pundit Picks are a new monthly special card that you can unlock via a Squad Building Challenge (SBC), somewhat akin to Player of the Month cards in the game.

We've got everything you need to know listed below, so you can get to grips with the new Pundit Picks card type and stay prepared for every new drop.

What are Pundit Picks cards in EA FC 24 Ultimate Team?

Pundit Picks are new special cards in EA FC 24 Ultimate Team that are given by pundits or analysts to players that have had a particularly strong performance, or that they simply want to highlight.

These are not like Player of the Month cards that reward a player for their performance over a calendar month, but instead are to boost a player who has been in the headlines

For example, Dominik Szoboszlai could earn himself a Pundit Picks card for his wonderful performances in a rejuvenated Liverpool midfield, whereas he would struggle to get the numbers for POTM contention.

Additionally, a player could score a huge goal in a super important game that surges their team to the top or out of the relegation zone, and thus is well deserving of additional attention (and a nice stat boost) this month.

This is quite an exciting concept for me as I feel it opens up the doors for many more players to receive special cards, and I always love cards that are based on real-life performances.

These cards are exclusive to the Premier League and LaLiga, and will be awarded by Sky Sports and DAZN pundits respectively. Furthermore, the releases will alternate between the two leagues each month, so there won't be any repeats despite some performances earning a new special card.

How to get Pundit Picks cards

Pundit Picks cards can be earned exclusively via SBCs in Ultimate Team, with varying requirements depending on the players that have been highlighted.

Furthermore, these SBCs will only be available for roughly two to three days after the broadcast, so you won't have long to dive in and earn the player for your squad.

When are Pundit Picks cards dropped in-game?

There will only be one Pundit Picks card available each month in EA FC 24 Ultimate Team, with the league of the chosen player alternating between Premier League and LaLiga each month.

It's currently unclear whether Pundit Picks cards will be chosen and announced at the same time each month, or whether it will be after a specific match or string of performances that deserves the nomination in the pundit's eyes.

We should hopefully find out more once further Pundit Picks have dropped into the game and we can get a sense of the schedule, so check back soon for further updates.

All Pundit Picks players so far in EA FC 24 Ultimate Team

Here are all of the players that have been released as Pundit Picks SBCs so far in EA FC 24 Ultimate Team, earning themselves a nice boost for their performances:

  • Anthony Gordon (Newcastle United)

So far there has only been one Pundit Picks card in the game, as Anthony Gordon was rewarded by Jamie Carragher for his match-winning goal against Arsenal - even if it was shrouded in controversy. He has had a fantastic start to the season at St James' Park though, and thus has earned a well-deserved boost to his stats.

So, that will clear up everything you need to know about the new Pundit Picks card type in EA FC 24 Ultimate Team, as it can be quite confusing to get your head around.
