Alongside face stats, you'll want to consider your Goalkeeper's height and PlayStyles as both of these make a big difference when it comes to their performance in-game - especially in specific key scenarios.
Unfortunately, you'll want to largely avoid GKs from the women's teams, as their height is a big disadvantage compared to their men's counterparts. Players like Courtois (6'7") and Mamardashvili (6'6") have an innate advantage, covering a larger area and reaching shots at a greater distance.
Best Goalkeeper PlayStyles
In terms of PlayStyles, you'll want to pay close attention to any GKs that have PlayStyle+ in the following:
- FootWork
- 1v1 Close Down
- Far Reach
- Deflector
I'm expecting Far Reach to be particularly effective, as the early game of the last few titles has been dominated by outside-the-box shots. With this, your Goalkeeper will have significantly improved reach and jumping when dealing with shots from outside of the box.
Ultimately it depends on which players fit into your team from a chemistry perspective, but if you can I'd definitely recommend trying to squeeze in one of the picks from above.
