PlayStyles can be the real difference maker in EA FC 25, so having the right ones for your players in every position can turn those frustrating losses into jubilant wins.

Best PlayStyles for every position

Defence

Position PlayStyles
GK FootWork, Rush Out, Far Reach, Deflector
CB Block, Bruiser, Intercept, Anticipate, Aerial
LB/RB Long Ball Pass, Whipped Pass, Rapid, Jockey, Relentless

Deflector appears to be the meta PlayStyle for the best Goalkeepers right now, as it significantly decreases the chance of a rebound opportunity occurring - which is the bane of any FC player!

Any of the defensive PlayStyles work perfectly for your CBs, but I'd pay particular attention to those with Anticipate+ and Intercept+. I've been using Bastoni a lot who has the latter, and it makes a significant difference when pushing up into attackers.

For fullbacks, it depends on how attacking you want them, but Relentless is essential, especially in it's + variant. They'll typically be running up and down the field, so having their stamina stay high goes a long way.

Midfield

Position PlayStyles
CDM Tiki Taka, Press Proven, Bruiser, Intercept, Anticipate, Relentless
CM Pinged Pass, Incisive Pass, Tiki Taka, Press Proven, Technical
CAM Finesse Shot, Incisive Pass, First Touch, Technical, Quick Step

Passing is the bread and butter of any strong midfielder, so it's understandable that you'd be looking for key PlayStyles like Tiki Taka, Incisive Pass, and Pinged Pass.

Press Proven+ appears to be particularly strong this year, as it'll help you retain possession in the middle of the pitch and prevent any dangerous transitions for the opponent.

I'd recommend veering towards attacking PlayStyles for your CAM - particularly if you're using the Second Striker Player Role, as this will make them far more effective inside and on the edge of the box.

Attack

Position PlayStyles
LW/RW Whipped Pass, First Touch, Rapid, Technical, Trivela, Quick Step
ST Power Shot, Finesse Shot, Power Header, First Touch, Aerial

For Strikers it's all about scoring goals, so you'll want PlayStyles that increase your effectiveness in that regard. Finesse Shot once again reigns supreme, even if outside-of-the-box shots feel slightly weaker than they have at previous points, but you definitely can't go wrong with Power Shot+ either.

For Wingers you'll want to ensure that they're incredibly quick and good at dribbling, so PlayStyles like Quick Step+ and Technical+ are incredibly strong. While I've not put it down, I'd also recommend keeping an eye out for Trickster+ too, as it can be unbelievably strong if you're a confident skiller.

Aiming for the PlayStyle+ version of each one listed above is definitely preferred too, especially when considering the 'most meta' options like Anticipate in defence and Finesse Shot in attack.

While most of the early to mid-game cards can only have one PlayStyle+, I would expect the best new cards post-TOTY to start having two (or even more) + versions, alongside an abundance of standard PlayStyles to increase their strength.
