Right Backs are becoming more important than ever before in EA FC 25, so securing the best one for your Ultimate Team is vital to success. Take a look at my picks for the best RBs in the game below.
Best RBs in EA FC 25
- Lilian Thuram (Icon)
- João Cancelo (Al Hilal)
- Dani Carvajal (Real Madrid)
- Trent Alexander-Arnold (Liverpool)
- Jules Koundé (Barcelona)
- Ona Batlle (Barcelona)
- Ashley Lawrence (Chelsea)
- Achraf Hakimi (PSG)
- Jeremie Frimpong (Bayer Leverkusen)
- Kyle Walker (Manchester City)
- Ferdi Kadıoğlu (Brighton)
Pace, Passing, and Defending are the big three stats for your Right Back, as you'll want to be able to effectively defend against the fastest wingers, while also proving effective in possession too.
How much you value the in or out-of-possession metrics will send you to different targets in the list below, with players like Alexander-Arnold favouring the former, and Thuram the latter. You certainly won't be starved for choice either way though!
You'll want to also consider each player's PlayStyles and Player Roles, as these will make a huge difference in their effectiveness on the pitch.
Best Right Back PlayStyles
You'll want to prioritise players with the following PlayStyles when considering RBs for your squad, especially if they have the + version. I've broken it down into different Player Roles too, as these will have your players occupy different positions and responsibilities on the pitch.

Best RB Player Roles
It all depends on the tactics that you use for your squad, but in my eyes the best Player Roles for your RB are either Falseback or Wingback.
Falseback provides the inverted role that has become incredibly popular in recent years and is a great option if you've already got width and pace through your wingers.
Wingback, however, is a better all-around option, giving you wide options in attack while the capability of stopping a promising attack in defence. Some players like Jeremie Frimpong benefit wildly from the Attacking Wingback role, but that can also leave you exposed in transitions if you're not careful.
