Learning how to make coins fast in Ultimate Team is one of the best things you can do as a new player to EA FC 25, and these tips will get you up and running on the market.

How to make coins fast

  • Playing Division Rivals & FUT Champions
  • Buying and selling meta cards
  • Buying high-rated cards & in-forms

Playing Rivals & Champions

For most players, the easiest and fastest way to earn coins in Ultimate Team is simply by playing the game. Not only will you get around 500-700 coins every time you play a match, but each win will take you closer to the weekly rewards which are where you can really cash in.

Division Rivals gives you a fair amount of packs and coins to open each week if you meet the points threshold, but the real money maker is FUT Champions. Having a good run one week can easily net you a couple hundred thousand coins at least, and if you manage to get close to the 15 wins mark you can typically score over one million coins in a single weekend.

It is much harder to get into this year though, as you need to win at least three of your five Play Off games to qualify, but if you're good enough then I'd recommend going for it every weekend.

Buying meta cards

Trading with meta cards is one of the most viable money-making techniques in the early game especially, as the demand for these cards causes their prices to rise rapidly. If you manage to get ahead of the curve with your coin balance you can score some really cheap pickups, and you're almost guaranteed to make a couple thousand coins profit every time, if not even more.

Ultimately though the quickest and easiest way to make money through this method is by sniping lower-than-average buy-it-now (BIN) prices, or by picking up cheaper deals via open bids. You don't even need to get players that much underneath their lowest average price either, as 500-1,000 coins stack up significantly if you can do it repeatedly and consistently.

One thing to also keep an eye out for is whether cards have meta Chemistry Styles applied to them. If you're looking at a meta defender that has a Shadow, or an attacker with a Hunter, then there's a high likelihood that you'll be able to sell them for a few thousand coins above their lowest asking price, so you don't even need to find 'cheaper' options if you're looking at the right cards.

Say that Jules Koundé's lowest average price was 50,000 coins, and you manage to pick up a card with a Shadow applied for that price. You'd probably be able to sell it for 55,000 if the market is right, which leaves you with a 2,500 coin profit without really doing anything.

As always, you'll need to watch out for the 5% EA sales tax, as this can eat into your profit if you're not careful. In general, it's better to do mass trades with cards on the cheaper side of things as the tax won't hit you as much, but if the price is right you can make a killing with more expensive cards.

Buying fodder

Picking up high-rated cards and in-forms, otherwise referred to as 'fodder', is one of the easiest ways to make loads of coins in Ultimate Team, but it might not always be as quick as other options.

The cards you'll be looking for in particular are those that are higher-rated but undesirable on the market due to their non-meta status. Think cards like Rúben Dias, İlkay Gündoğan, or Joshua Kimmich, and you'll want to find these cards around the 84-89 ratings range.

The reason why this is so effective is that these cards will dramatically rise in price anytime a popular SBC drops that requires a higher-rated squad, as their demand will increase. You can take advantage of this by predicting when these SBCs will drop and buying when the cards are low in price, but it can be a bit of a waiting game.

The reason why buying fodder is great is because it's incredibly risk-free if you're buying when the cards are cheap. SBCs will always need high-rated cards, so these players will always go up in price, it just depends on how long you're willing to sit on your investments.
