The Elden Ring Comet Azur spell is one of the most powerful sorceries in the game, so if you aren't just satisfied with simply beating bosses, why not learn how to delete them from the game entirely? Elden Ring can be extremely difficult, especially when it comes to boss fights, but you have a lot of freedom to make the game easier through spells, equipment, and more. So, if you're building a magical character and want the very best that sorcery has to offer, check out how to get the Elden Ring Comet Azur spell.

Elden Ring Comet Azur: How Much Progress Is Needed

Elden Ring Comet Azur: activating the grand lift

There are many ways to mess with the intended order of events in Elden Ring, but to get this spell you will need to make a decent chunk of progress through the game. First of all, the spell is acquired in the Altus Plateau. Getting there means making serious inroads into the game, but considering the spell has an intelligence requirement of 60, this is really for high-level characters only.

If you happen to have 60 or more intelligence and have yet to make the trip to the Altus Plateau, then you need to activate the Grand Lift of Dectus to get there. It is in the far northeast of Liurnia, and requires a medallion to operate. The medallion is found in two halves, one at Fort Haight in eastern Limgrave, and the other at Fort Faroth in east Dragonbarrow, north of Caelid. Once you have the required intelligence stat and you’re on your way to the Altus Plateau, you have to do the following to get the spell.

Getting to the Comet Azur spell is a long and dangerous walk. Starting from where the Grand Lift of Dectus drops you off in the Altus Plateau, head north. Pass the Lux Ruins, and continue north up to the Wyndham Ruins. Follow the cliff around to the west and into the Seethewater River ravine. Follow the river north until it forks, then go to the left. Ahead you will reach the Seethewater Terminus site of grace.

Continue west from the Seethewater Terminus toward the fort, then south around the corner. You will be greeted by a lake of lava occupied by a Magma Wyrm. Torrent is relatively lava-proof, he will take damage but if you charge across the lake as quick as you can you should make it quite easily. Stick to the wall on your left to steer clear of the monster, and continue around the corner to the left.

Head along the cliff and continue to follow the path. You will encounter several enemies along the way, so long as you keep moving on horseback you should be fine. Pass by the Craftsman’s Shack and through the Hermit Village until you meet Demi-Human Queen Maggie. This boss can be ignored as well, so no hassle if you aren’t ready for the fight. Just past Maggie, the intended path forward is to cross the ravine using the huge rock outcrop ahead. Instead, go left around the corner and you will find Primeval Sorcerer Azur tucked into the corner.

Whoever this guy was, he isn’t much of anything now. You can speak with him, but he says nothing. His hand will unfold, and you will be presented with the Comet Azur spell. Azur himself no longer speaks or even moves. Whatever the case, you now have the most powerful spell in the game. Use it wisely!

That is the method for getting Comet Azur, the most powerful spell in Elden Ring.
