Beyond the Red Meat Part 1 from Skier is a tricky quest to complete in Escape from Tarkov, so find out how to get this task done below, alongside all the rewards you'll get once you're over the finish line.

How to complete Beyond the Red Meat Part 1

  • Locate and obtain information on culinary secrets at the Beluga restaurant on Streets of Tarkov
  • Extract safely from the raid and hand the information back over to Skier

This quest, as the description states, will take you to Streets of Tarkov in search of a quest-specific item inside the Beluga restaurant.

You'll find the Beluga restaurant on the map's northern side and on the eastern side of the main road down the centre of Streets. It's opposite the Pinewood Hotel, and shouldn't be too difficult to find even if you're unfamiliar with the map.

If you're familiar with the Klimov Street extract then it's on the road that you take to head down there.

Where to find the culinary secrets inside Beluga

Once you've made your way to the Beluga restaurant on Streets you'll want to then want to head up to the second and third floor of the building.

There are four potential spawns for the quest item, and you might have to search through them all across both floors to get your hands on it.

Inside the oval bar

On the second floor, there is a large oval-shaped bar. head inside the bar and look for a pile of white towels on the shelves underneath. The quest item has a chance to spawn next to these towels.

3rd floor bar

If it hasn't spawned at the second floor oval bar then you'll want to move up again to the third floor, as the remaining spawns are found on this level.

Behind the bar at the rear of the building you'll find another potential spawn for the diary, which is next to two tin containers - one black, one red - on the shelving underneath the bar.

Inside the kitchen cabinet

Once you've checked the bar but not found the diary, head into the kitchen through the door to your right.

Once inside the kitchen, you should be able to see a couple of open floor cabinet doors ahead of you. Check the one underneath the green plastic crate, and the diary has a chance of spawning on the top shelf inside.

Inside the Beluga office

The final spawn is inside the locked Beluga office, and to get in you'll need to obtain the 'Beluga restaurant director key'.

This can be purchased on the flea market and found in any of the typical key spawns, but understandably its price has spiked since the quest was added to the game.

You can choose to leave buying this key and simply reset your run if it's not at any of the other spawns, but I'd recommend picking it up as it could save you a lot of time and effort.

From the kitchen cabinet spawn, continue through the room and look for a door in the back right. This should lead you directly into the office, and then you'll want to head to the shelves in the back left.

The spawn for the diary is between the green binders and the cardboard container, and if you've got this far it's likely that you'll find it here.
