The arrival of a new wipe always brings new weapons to the world of Escape from Tarkov, and patch 0.15 has some intriguing - and highly requested - additions.

You can see a full list of all the new weapons and their corresponding ammo right here, giving you a glimpse of what's to come in this new update.

All new weapons (patch 0.15)

There are 12 new guns available to use in the new wipe, which broadly fit into four new 'families' of small variations and colours:

  • IWI UZI 9x19 submachine gun
  • IWI UZI PRO Pistol 9x19 submachine gun
  • IWI UZI PRO SMG 9x19 submachine gun
  • SR-3M 9x39 compact assault rifle
  • Magnum Research Desert Eagle Mk XIX .50 AE pistol
  • Magnum Research Desert Eagle L5 .50 AE pistol
  • Magnum Research Desert Eagle L5 .357 pistol
  • Magnum Research Desert Eagle L6 .50 AE pistol
  • Magnum Research Desert Eagle L6 .50 AE pistol (WTS)
  • US Ordnance M60E4 7.62x51 light machine gun
  • US Ordnance M60E6 7.62x51 light machine gun
  • US Ordnance M60E4 7.62x51 light machine gun (FDE)

IWI UZI

The UZI form is one of the most recognisable, so it's an inevitability that it's finally made its way to the world of Tarkov. This short and rapid submachine gun will operate in the same world as the MP7 but for 9x19, and will likely be a popular budget choice in the new wipe.

SR-3M

We already have the SR-1MP and the SR-2M in the game, so the addition of the SR-3M is definitely welcome. However, the key difference here is the ammo in question - as the 3M uses 9x39mm rounds instead of the standard 9x21mm.

If you're familiar then you'll notice that these are the same subsonic rounds found in the VSS, AS VAL, and others. This will hopefully hold a stronger position in the meta compared to the VSK-94 and 9A-91, and I'm definitely going to give it a spin in-raid as soon as I get the chance.

Magnum Research Desert Eagle

Players have been asking for the Desert Eagle for years now, and it has previously seemed like quite the impossible task. It has finally made the jump into the game though, and even has five different variants to choose from.

The key difference between these variants is the eligible ammunition, as four use .50 calibre rounds, whereas the remaining one uses the weaker .357 calibre. The former is an entirely new ammo calibre to be added to the game, and I'm expecting it to be extremely strong and incredibly difficult to control.

US Ordance M60E6/M60E4

The final addition in patch 0.15 is a new light machinegun with two variants - the M60E4 and M60E6. These are the first western LMGs to be added to the game and, thus, the first within the incredibly meta 7.62x51 ammo class.

While LMGs have their obvious downsides, I can see these being the most popular choices due to the strength of the round itself. It's already the meta when used with 20-round MDRs, so imagine that extended to a box magazine!

All new ammo in patch 0.15

There is an entirely new ammo calibre in patch 0.15 - .50 Action Express - and with it comes four new rounds to use, exclusive to the Desert Eagle:

Round Damage Penetration
.50 AE FMJ 85 40
.50 AE Copper Solid 94 33
.50 AE Hawk JSP 122 26
.50 AE JHP 147 12

FMJ is the best on paper, boasting 40 penetration, which is more than enough to get through Class 4 armour and helmets. However, you might prefer the sheer stopping power of JHP, as 147 damage really cannot be understated - especially against bosses.
