Escape from Tarkov: The Walls Have Eyes quest walkthrough

Complete The Walls Have Eyes in Escape from Tarkov by following these steps, as the new quest based in Factory can be rather tough to get done otherwise.

Another new quest in Escape from Tarkov patch 0.15 is Skier's 'The Walls Have Eyes', which takes you to Factory in search of cranes.

You'll need to plant cameras on these cranes - hence the eyes in question - but it can be tricky to find them, especially when Factory is so chaotic and claustrophobic. That's where this guide is perfect then, as I've laid out all four spots, letting you complete the quest with ease.

How to complete The Walls Have Eyes

  • Install a Wi-Fi Camera in the first crane's cockpit on Factory
  • Install a Wi-Fi Camera in the second crane's cockpit on Factory
  • Install a Wi-Fi Camera in the third crane's cockpit on Factory

While the cranes themselves are numbered, you don't need to do them in any order at all, and they don't even need to be done in the same raid. You will need to safely extract after planting the final one, but otherwise, you can die and head back in at your own leisure.

I'd also recommend placing the Wi-Fi Cameras in your special items slots, as that means they'll be preserved on your PMC even after death, ensuring that you don't need to buy new ones every single raid.

All crane cockpit locations on Factory

By Gate 0

The first crane is found by Gate 0, which is on the southeastern side of the map. You'll be able to spot the crane itself by its yellow exterior, and you'll need to find a way up to the rafters in order to drop into it from above.

The easiest way up for this one is to head up the fallen pathway behind the crane, as that'll let you quickly get up above and drop down the square hole into the cockpit.

Planting, unfortunately, takes 40 seconds, which is an incredibly long time to remain static in Factory of all maps. Make sure that nobody is in your immediate surroundings and try and get into as much 'cover' as you can, as hard as that may be.

Once you've finished the plant you'll notice that there's no way to get back up the ladder and onto the upper level again. You'll instead need to walk through the cockpit window and down below.

Dropping down from this height to the floor will almost guarantee a broken and blacked-out leg, leaving you in a lot of trouble. Instead, you'll want to walk out of the left window and onto the blue cargo container. From there you can drop down onto the ground without suffering any damage.

By Medical Tent

The next crane that you'll want to head to is by the Medical Tent, which is in the southeast of the map, or directly forward if you're looking from the cockpit of the Gate 0 crane.

The crane itself is above and to the left of the medical tent, and the best way to reach it is via the stairs right next to the front of the tent. Once again you'll be able to drop down into it from above, then plant when you're inside the cockpit.

In terms of getting back to ground level, you'll want to drop down to the right onto the blue circular objects, which will then allow you to drop again onto the floor without taking damage. This area is quite populated and you'll be exposed from all angles though, so definitely be careful when you're planting and leaving the area.

By Gate 3

While there is no strict 'order', I'd definitely recommend heading to the Gate 3 crane last. If you've had any time with Factory then you should definitely be familiar with Gate 3's location as it's the primary extract, but if you're heading from the Medical Tent you'll want to continue north and then head left once you've passed the broken helicopter tail.

The crane for this location is found above and to the right of the Gate, but the path up can be quite the journey. You'll want to head up the stairs directly to the left of the Gate, and you can either continue up until the top level or head inside towards the office if you're feeling under pressure from Scavs or other PMCs.

Once you've reached the top level just walk over to the crane and drop down into the cockpit to start the planting process. This is by far the most dangerous area in terms of traffic though, so you'll want to watch your surroundings and hope that nobody spots you if they are running past.

The reason why you'll want to do this one last though is the less-than-optimal exit situation, as the likelihood is that you'll end up with a broken leg or two. I've had some success dropping down onto the metal pipes that sit just behind the crane, but these can be quite tricky to actually land on.

Instead, your best bet is to pop a painkiller and drop down directly onto the floor, then immediately rush into Gate 3 and extract while the painkiller is still active. This will let you stay on the move even if your legs are broken or blacked out, but you must extract as soon as you possibly can.
