How does Icon chemistry work in FC 24?
The chemistry for Icons is being overhauled slightly this time around, after not being as effective in last year's game because of the new system.
Now, Icons will give 1 boost to every single player, and then an extra boost if they share the same nationality. If you would like to know even more about how chemistry will work in EA FC 24, we have you covered here.

EA FC 24 Icon versions explained
Icon versions are completely changing in EA FC 24, as the three versions (Base, Mid, and Prime) have been removed in favour of one single Icon version. So, when you pack Zidane or Pele, that will be the only version of that player in the game outside of promo cards.
This will likely have an effect on the availability of Icon packs and SBCs in the early game, but we're sure that EA will find some way to integrate them into the game whether that be by raising the price or by putting a ratings cap on the pack itself.
There will also be buffs to certain Icons to make them more viable or true to their real-life counterpart's legacy. Thierry Henry, for example, has received a +10 boost to his balance, and Ruud van Nistelrooy has been bumped up to four-star Weak Foot.
We are, once again, expecting Icons to appear in Promos this year, which is likely why the three different versions have been left behind.

Every way you can get Icons in EA FC 24
Icons are, and always have been, some of the best cards you can get in the game - fortunately there are a few ways you can earn them.
- Buy them from the Market: It may cost a lot of coins, but it is something to save for if you want one of your favourite legends of the game
- Opening packs: You need to get lucky, but you have a chance of pulling Icons out of packs
- SBCs: The most accessible way you can get Icons, and it is guaranteed is to complete dedicated SBCs. We are once again expecting SBCs that offer a random icon, so you're still hoping to get lucky but it is cheaper than buying some of the very best cards
That is all there is to know about Icons in EA FC 24. If you're more into Career Mode, but struggling on which team to choose, we have a comprehensive guide to all the best saves and challenges available. For everything else, take a look at the EA FC 24 homepage.
