FIFA 22 ratings are the most anticipated feature of the game prior to its release, as everyone looks to eye the best players in the game as it launches. Whether it's the same old guard as previous years in FIFA or there are some unexpected rises, the FIFA 22 ratings are likely to cause quite a stir - especially in the  Messi versus Ronaldo category. Selected players in the FIFA 22 FUT Heroes category have already had their FIFA 22 ratings revealed, ranging from 85-90.

However, when it comes to the ordinary players, here's who we expect to have the best FIFA 22 ratings.

FIFA 22 Ratings: The Top 10

#10 - Jan Oblak (90)

Starting off the list is Jan Oblak. The Atletico Madrid keeper will likely remain as the best goalkeeper on the game, despite a possible one rating drop. Beating out the likes of Ter Stegen, Alisson, and Ederson, Oblak should have a minimum of a 90 rating in FIFA 22.

#9 - N'Golo Kante (90)

Having been widely considered to be the best player of 2020/21 having won the Champions League with Chelsea, N'Golo Kante could be set for an increase into the top 10, with a boost from his previous 89 rating. Who wouldn't want to see football's sweetheart get a well-deserved boost in the FIFA 22 ratings?

#8 - Harry Kane (90)

Despite not getting his desired move to a Champions League club, Harry Kane is still undoubtedly one of the best players around. His 90 FIFA 22 rating would be a plus two increase from last year, but his consistency as a top calibre player has merited that. Not a bad pick if you've got speedy wingers.

#7 - Mohamed Salah (90)

Speaking of speedy wingers... Mohammed Salah's fine Liverpool form has shown no signs of slowing down, even if their fourth-placed finish was below-par. No movement in Salah's rating is inevitable.

#6 - Neymar Jr (91)

Always in contention for the top spot is Neymar Jr. A reunion with Lionel Messi will undoubtedly bring the best out of him for future ratings, although before the gauntlet is passed over, the tricky Brazillian will have to be content at number six in the FIFA 22 ratings.

#5 - Robert Lewandowski (91)

Bayern Munich's front man has been in incredible form for the 20/21 season, showing why he's regarded as a top-two striker on the globe ahead of the likes of the upcoming Erling Haaland. Although he's not got many years left at this peak before Haaland catches up, big Lewandowski is an assured top-five FIFA 22 players.

#4 - Kevin De Bruyne (91)

Many Premier League fans will be hoping for De Bruyne to soon be recognised as the worlds best player, although he's not quite at the same peak as Messi or Ronaldo - maybe next year he could top the charts for the highest FIFA 22 ratings if his Man City team out-perform a certain returning legend.

#3 - Kylian Mbappe (92)

As the poster boy for FIFA 22, Mbappe is all-but-confirmed for a top-three FIFA 22 rating. The French phenomenon will likely see a rise in his rating to join the ominous Messi and Ronaldo.

#2 - Cristiano Ronaldo (92)

In the battle of the beasts, it's likely that Manchester United's returning CR7 will fall just short of Lionel Messi this year, although a 92 ST FIFA 22 rating is not to be sniffed at.

#1 - Lionel Messi (93)

Topping the charts will likely be Lionel Messi, who, after securing a move to PSG, completes a forward trio all within the best six FIFA 22 players. Messi's 93 rating will surely persist, unless he's dropped to make a top three all on 92.

Special mentions in this respect come in the way of Bruno Fernandes, Karim Benzema, Alisson, Sadio Mane, and Joshua Kimmich, who will be amongst a list of players that sit on 89 or 90, and could easily be boosted into this list if EA is feeling generous.
