EA Sports have officially announced that AFC Richmond are in FIFA 23, and you will also be able to play as the TV show's titular manager Ted Lasso in FIFA 23 Career Mode.
There has been quite a few hints towards this being the case, from AFC Richmond appearing and then disappearing from the FIFA 23 website, to a cryptic tweet from Ted Lasso himself.
However, the truth is finally out, and you will be able to take control of the fictional team, and also start a career as Ted Lasso himself thanks to the new Career Mode Authentic Managers option.

How To Play As AFC Richmond In FIFA 23
Fans of the show will be able to take the reigns of AFC Richmond in a number of different modes, including the following:
- Career Mode
- Kickoff
- Online Friendlies
- Online Seasons
This gives you plenty of opportunities to pick up the greyhounds and try them out, and you can even challenge your friends with them if you're feeling confident enough.
You will be able to find the team within the 'Rest of the World' league, which also has housed teams like Wrexham A.F.C. and the World/Classic XI. A couple of players have been confirmed for the team too, including familiar faces from the show like Roy Kent, Jamie Tartt, Sam Obisanya, and Dani Rojas.
