What are Timely Accessories in Final Fantasy 16?
Timely Accessories are five rings that are automatically available to the player when making their way through Final Fantasy 16, and each one automates a separate aspect of the new combat system.
Each of the Timely Accessories take up one out of the three available accessory slots, so you won't be able to equip them at the one time. Furthermore, all of the badges and additional accessories that you pick up throughout your travels will also occupy these slots, so you will have to choose wisely.

Final Fantasy 16 Timely Accessories abilities explained
Here is a table that shows what each of the Timely Accessories in Final Fantasy 16 does, so you can decide which ones you want to use:
Timely Accessory | Ability |
Ring of Timely Strikes | Complex ability combinations are executed by just pressing square on your controller. |
Ring of Timely Focus | Time slows before any incoming evadable attacks. Cancelled out if the Ring of Timely Evasion is used. |
Ring of Timely Evasion | Automatically evades all eligible attacks when the ring is equipped. |
Ring of Timely Healing | Automatically use potions if Clive's health falls below a certain point. Standard potions will be prioritised over high potions. |
Ring of Timely Assistance | Commands for Torgal are automatically executed, and they will assist Clive's attacks whenever possible too. |
As you can see, these Timely Accessory rings are extremely powerful when applied, and can make formerly difficult fights trivial if used correctly. This is a very welcome addition to help those who might struggle with the fast-paced combat, without intruding on the challenge of those who seek it too.
You can see which rings you have equipped at any one point in time by looking at the icons above your health bar in the top left of the screen. The icon for the corresponding ring will light up white whenever you have it equipped, so you will know at all times.

What are the best Timely Accessory rings in Final Fantasy 16?
The best Timely Accessories that you can use in Final Fantasy 16 are by far the Ring of Timely Strikes and the Ring of Timely Evasion. These allow you to breeze through even the most challenging bosses with ease, as you technically cannot be hit, and you don't have to worry about learning or executing any of the fearsome combos too.
We would also recommend that you equip the Ring of Timely Assistance even if you're doing a standard playthrough without any help too, as it can be quite annoying to manage Torgal at times as you have to bounce between the healing and pet menus.
So, that's everything you need to know about the Timely Accessories in Final Fantasy 16, giving you all of the details surrounding the abilities within the rings.
