How to unlock the Nibelheim elevators in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth
Here you'll find out everything you'll need to know about unlocking the elevators in Nibelheim and Mt. Nibel in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth so you can progress.
As you make your way through Nibelheim and up to Mt. Nibel to investigate the Mako Reactor during the early hours of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, you’ll come across a couple of elevators that are locked – so we’re here to show you how to unlock them so you can progress.
While this section of the game can be quite long, and you can even skip it, it’s well worth knowing the smaller details that will help you progress quickly, from unlocking the elevators to visiting Tifa’s house, or even checking in on Cloud’s Mom.
How to unlock the first elevator in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth
When you get to the first elevator on Mt. Nibel, the security system that has locked it will reveal that it has done so because of the high levels of leaking Mako gas in the area, as in the image below – as such, it’s your job to dispel it and that will unlock the elevator.
To do so, you’ll need to use the large industrial suction machine nearby to clear out the deposits of bright green Mako that are leaking out.
There are three in total and all you need to do is push or pull the machine over them to clear them. Afterwards, the elevator will unlock and you can continue onwards.
How to unlock the second elevator in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth
To unlock the second elevator in Final Final Fantasy 7, you’ll be doing pretty much the same thing as above. However, you’ll find after sucking up the first Mako deposit that the cable for the machine is not long enough.
So, you’ll need to pull the machine back toward the cable’s source and open the nearby gate. Once you do, push the machine through and you will have enough bandwidth to suck up the Mako, unlock the elevator and continue toward the mysteries of the Nibelheim Incident.
That’s everything you need to know about unlocking both elevators in Nibelheim’s Mt. Nibel in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. Now that you’ve got them both unlocked, you’ll have to wait and see what secrets lie in store.
