What Do Birthdays Do In Fire Emblem Engage?
When you first start a new game in Fire Emblem Engage, the game asks for your birthday. It's quite confusing as to why a JRPG would ask this from you. There is a reason for it, however.
Birthdays in Fire Emblem Engage are special. You can get gifts from your comrades in Fire Emblem Engage and when they're celebrating another year of living, there will be a special conversation between you and your friend. Here's what happens when you celebrate birthdays in Fire Emblem Engage.
- Despite what a few Fire Emblem fans believe, Engage is indeed a mainline game in the series.
Why Does Fire Emblem Engage Ask For Your Birthday?
When you first begin Fire Emblem Engage and choose your difficulty, the game will ask for your birthday. I recommend placing it in about a week's time from the first day you play the game, so you can take full advantage of the mechanic. You'll also need around a week to meet everyone in the game as you won't receive some party members until much later into the storyline; it depends on your playstyle, however. Regardless, take note of when you've set the birthday.
Once that date arrives, explore the town of Somniel and meet with all of your team members. According to Gamepur, you'll gain gifts from everyone. For example, Clanne provides a Large Plate. Strangely, you can regift everything you get to improve your affinity level with your favourite characters in the game.
Once you've grown strong with your allies, you may want to try your best at the Tempest Trials.
- Did you know you change the voices of the characters to Japanese?
You Can Visit Friends During Their Birthday
When your friends around the hub town of Somniel celebrate their birthdays, you can also give them gifts. They'll give a unique interaction during that day and thank you for thinking of them. Here are all the birthdays you should keep note of while you play through Fire Emblem Engage. If you decide to romance one of them, you'll definitely want to remember the date!
