How to farm proficiency in Fire Emblem Engage
You should farm proficiency because it will let you access new skills and buffs for your characters like Alear, Diamant, and Ivy in Fire Emblem Engage.
Proficiency in Fire Emblem Engage is important if you want to apply amazing skills to your heroes. You can farm it quite easily if you know exactly how. Thankfully, we've found the best way to find this earned resource in-game.
How to farm proficiency quickly
The fastest way to gain proficiency is to use the Arena near the beginning of Chapter 5. It is where your fellow allies and emblems can fight among each other and spar for upcoming battles. You can find the arena in the backend of the Cafe Terrace behind the right-hand door.
The characters will gain experience as they fight their friends, but the emblems provide weapon proficiency super quickly. Using Bond Fragments as currency, you can level up the connection between a hero and an emblem with ease. For example, if you want to raise Diamant's bond level with Lucina to Level 5 from the beginning, you'll only need to use 400 Bond Fragments.
After getting to Level 5 with any emblem, your character can then learn the skills from the ghostly figures. Going back to Diamant, he can learn Dual Assist and Dexterity +2 from Lucina. You'll have to go to the Ring Chamber to inherit these skills, however.
His damage with a sword is also heightened thanks to Lucina's influence on Diamant. It's a great way to accompany the growth rates of your favourite characters.
Another way to farm proficiency
Don't worry if you're running low on Bond Fragments, as you can naturally farm proficiency within the fields of battle. Paralogues and random events will begin to pop up on the map as you proceed through the story, so just equip the emblem to the character you'd like to inherit new skills.
As they both fight together, they will naturally gain more friendship and, in turn, gain a stat boost. This will heighten the weapon proficiency of your hero and the emblem. Unfortunately, it won't turn into a romance, so you can't date someone like Lucina from Fire Emblem Awakening, but you can build relationships with some of Engage's original characters, however.
