Can You Play Forspoken On PS4?
Forspoken, releasing on January 24, will be wowing players with its incredible graphics. However, Forspoken on PS4 will likely remain a dream for prior-gen console owners as it is a PS5 console exclusive. This comes after God of War Ragnarok, Horizon: Forbidden West, and Resident Evil Village all receiving cross-gen releases.
As the PS5 begins to age, PS4 versions of current-generation titles are starting to fade. Unfortunately, that is the case with Forspoken on PS4. Other anticipated titles like Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League, Final Fantasy XVI, and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will all be skipping the PS4 as well.
Forspoken also lacks any kind of co-op, which its spiritual predecessor Final Fantasy XV actually has.

The developer of Forspoken has also made Final Fantasy XV. It's an open-world JRPG with magnificent visuals, epic battles, and a road trip storyline that will connect you to its four-person squad. It's also built on the same graphics engine as Forspoken. It's as close as you're going to get to Forspoken on PS4.
If you're looking for an Isekai game on PS4 like the concept of Forspoken, there are quite a few options for you. Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch transports a 13-year-old protagonist into a beautiful Studio Ghibli-created world. The visuals look similar to Spirited Away, Howl's Moving Castle, and My Neighbor Totoro, but it has a fantasy JRPG twist to it. It has an emotional story that will grip you for many hours, in addition to a fun Pokemon-like combat system as you gain familiars throughout the world.
If you're looking for something with a bit more action to it, Devil May Cry 5 is also a good shout. It has stunning visuals, exceptional combat, and a decent script. It's a great first foray into the series as well.
