This Oathbound Quest Part 2 is tricky, as it requires Fortnite players to solve a bit of a puzzle. If you need assistance, below is an all-encompassing guide on how to align star sensors by damaging them in the correct order.
How to align star sensors in Fortnite
In the centre of the hedge, you will find a device called the cosmic monitor atop a circular slab of rock. Around you, you'll notice five different star sensors.
To complete the game's Oathbound Quest, you must align the star sensors by damaging them with your Harvesting Tool in the correct order. But what's the correct order?
What you need to do is use the cosmic monitor to figure out which star sensor to damage. The cosmic monitor will display various phases of the moon. The five moon phases that can pop up on the cosmic monitor include:
- Waxing Crescent
- First Quarter
- Full Moon
- Last Quarter
- Waning Crescent
So, peek at the cosmic monitor and determine which phase of the moon is being displayed. Now, look around and locate the star sensor that's displaying the same image. Once you have pinpointed the matching star sensor, go ahead and smack it with your pickaxe.
When you do it right, you'll get a visual and audio indicator, plus a notification on the right-hand side of the screen tracking your progress. Align all five of the star sensors by damaging them in the correct order to complete this Fortnite Quest.
Where can you find the star sensors in Fortnite?
The Fortnite star sensors are situated around the Hidden Hedge landmark. You can find Hidden Hedge north-west of Faulty Splits.
Before you can align the star sensors by damaging them in the correct order, you actually need to first plant the star sensors and cosmic monitor. So, if you're already this far into the Oathbound Quests Part 2, you should know where you must go for this next step.
What do you get for aligning the star sensors?
Upon completion of this Oathbound Quest, you will receive 20K XP toward your Battle Pass and Season Level. Furthermore, you can move on to the next Oathbound Part 2 Quest, which asks that you interact with the cosmic monitor.
After helping Rift Warden Stellan align the Island with the cosmos, he'll let you in on a secret. Apparently, there is a "Shapeless Man" who watches the inhabitants of the Island with a dark purpose.
Who is this mysterious Shapeless Man? It seems as if we'll have to continue with the Oathbound Quests to find out.
