The latest Fortnite update has brought several new items to the loot pool, including the fabled Banana of the Gods.
This season's Olympian Gods worship bananas, and with good reason, because eating the sacred fruit provides tremendous benefits. This primer details where to find the game's new consumable fruit and what happens when you take a bite from it.
What does the Banana of the Gods do?
The Banana of the Gods is a Legendary-rarity consumable Item that replenishes three health every second over 20 seconds, for a total of 60 HP.
Additionally, the Banana of the Gods temporarily increases sprint speed and jump height, similar to the Aspect of Speed awarded alongside the Thunderbolt of Zeus when you defeat Zeus.
Where to find the Banana of the Gods
The Banana of the Gods is considered a delicacy amongst the Olympian Gods, and with that, it's most commonly found as floor loot Mount Olympus, Brawler's Battleground, The Underworld, and Grim Gate.
You can also find them inside Olympus and Underworld Chests, as well as in regular Chests and Supply Drops if you're lucky - although the chances of getting them this way are much smaller.
You'll need to know that the banana is the food most appealing to the gods to complete Oracle's Snapshot Quests, and you must consume a Banana of the Gods yourself to complete one of the Rise of Midas Quests.
This isn't just your average piece of fruit, so it's important you treat it as the delectable goody it is when you find it in Fortnite!
