It's been a while, but to the delight of many, Fortnite Crash Pads are back. Crash Pads are a fan-favourite Utility Item, so it's nice to see them in Fortnite again. To get the most out of Fortnite No Sweat Summer, you'll need to know all the details relating to the return of Fortnite Crash Pads.
How to bounce on three separate Crash Pads without landing
In celebration of the return of Crash Pads in Fortnite, a Week 9 Seasonal Quest tasks players with bouncing on three separate Crash Pads without landing. Completing this fun Quest will award 15K XP toward your Season Level and Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3 Battle Pass.
Since Crash Pads spawn in stacks of three, you only need to come across one set to get this Challenge done. Toss all three Crash Pads in a line, but not too close, as you might accidentally deflate one. With the Crash Pads blown up, go ahead and carefully bounce across all three separate Crash Pads without touching the ground.
As another option, you can head to Mighty Monument and attempt this Quest using the preexisting Crash Pads that float in the water. These Crash Pads don't deflate with time, so you can keep trying until you pull off the perfect bounce sequence.
Where can you find Crash Pads?
Look for Crash Pads in Floor Loot, Chests, and Supply Drops. Crash Pads are a Rare Item, so while they aren't common, they shouldn't be too hard to come by. Crash Pads spawn in stacks of three, and you can hold up to a max of six Crash Pads in a single stack.
Crash Pads exist naturally in the environment as well. Search the waters around Mighty Monument east of Sanctuary and you'll come across plenty of Crash Pads floating in the sea.
How to use Crash Pads
Crash Pads are a Throwable Item. To use a Crash Pad, toss it out and watch it inflate before your eyes.
Crash Pads work as trampolines, bouncing players and other objects, like Shield Potions or Grenades, that make contact with them. Landing on and off of Crash Pads negates fall damage entirely.
Crash Pads are great Get Out of Jail Free Cards for players who like to build multi-story towers and need an escape plan should their structure collapse. Alternatively, you can use a Crash Pad to spring up high and escape or pursue an enemy.
One cool attribute of Fortnite Crash Pads is that they maintain the player's velocity. This fact makes it easy to effectively deploy Crash Pads underneath you, whether as a way to traverse distance or save yourself from a serious fall.
As you might expect from an inflatable device like a Crash Pad, they won't stay pumped up forever. After some time, Crash Pads will deflate. To expedite the process, you can destroy the Crash Pad manually, either with your Harvesting Tool or some bullets.
Try taking on another Week 9 Seasonal Quest and find out how to gain Shield while emoting in Fortnite.
