If you’re looking to complete the eighth and final set of the Pirate Code quests in Fortnite, you’ll need to know how to visit Davy Jones’ locker.
Davy Jones’ Locker is a classic pirate folktale and is essentially a pirate's version of the underworld. It's where they believe they go once they die, and is said to be found at the bottom of the ocean.
Knowing a few things about this folktale might give you a few clues as to how you can find Davy Jones’ Locker in Fortnite, but the game doesn’t give you much to go off in the first place.
Where is Davy Jones’ Locker in Fortnite?
First things first, the location isn’t anywhere physical that you can visit in the game. Instead, you simply need to get eliminated (or eliminate yourself) in a match.
The quickest way to do this is to drop where there’s a large building you can jump off, and fall to your death. You can also build a tall ramp if you’re playing a mode where building is enabled and eliminate yourself that way.
Once you’ve died any which way in a match of Fortnite, you’ll see the challenge get ticked off for visiting Davy Jones’ Locker.
It’s a shame that there’s no physical area for you to visit that resembles the pirate underworld. In the Pirates of the Caribbean movies, the realm was represented as a vast ocean and desert islands that mirrored our own.
Sadly, there’s no such area in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3. Visiting the Davy Jones NPC in the area aptly titled ‘The Underworld’ won’t help you much here, either. Still, at least completing this challenge is much easier than it first looks!
Completing all of the Pirate Code quests will unlock the Captain Jack Sparrow skins, which are highly coveted if you're a fan of the movies.
