HIGHLIGHTS:

  • For the best chance of scoring a double elimination, load into a match of Duos
  • Hunt down groups of Duos and leave one enemy in a down-but-not-out state
  • Eliminate their teammate to earn an easy double elimination

For some of us, getting one elimination in Fortnite can be a challenge in itself - but a current quest is asking players to earn a double elimination while playing a match of the popular Battle Royale.

This might sound like an insurmountable challenge, especially given how spread-out players tend to be when playing the game as a solo player. However, there’s a cheeky little trick you can use that will make getting a double elimination in Fortnite far easier than you’d think.

Best method to get a double elimination in Fortnite

The trick to getting easy double eliminations is to load into a match of duos rather than solos. You don’t need to be in a duo yourself, as you can still load into these matches as a solo player.

Once you're loaded into a match of duos, drop at a relatively busy spot. In Chapter 5 Season 3, I find that Mount Olympus or Reckless Railways are both good options.

After landing, find yourself a decent starting weapon and keep a lookout for a duo of players. Try and catch one of them off-guard and knock them down. Once you’ve done so, make sure to keep them alive in the knock-down state - this is important to make sure you get the double elimination.

Then, try to take down their fellow teammate. If you manage to do this successfully, both of the enemies will be eliminated at the same time, earning you a double elimination and completing the quest.

Overall, I find this a much easier method than simply hunting down two enemy players in a game of solos. You can also try this method by loading into a squad game, but I found this to be much more tricky. 2v1 fights are manageable in Fortnite, but 4v1 is a whole other ballgame.
