This unique glitch allows players to see what it's like to play Fortnite in first-person mode. So, if you're tired of third-person mode or just want to see what all the fuss is about, follow the instructions below to do the Fortnite first-person mode glitch.

How to use the first-person mode glitch

To execute the first-person mode glitch and play Battle Royale from a first-person point of view, you need Save the World, Fortnite's PvE Campaign. If you don't have Save the World, you can purchase it for £12.99. Unfortunately, Save the World isn't available on Nintendo Switch or Mobile, so players on these platforms cannot perform the first-person mode glitch.

To begin, launch Save the World and navigate to Settings. Then, under Game, scroll down until you come across the option to toggle on the first-person camera under Extra Game Options. Apply the changes, and exit Save the World.

Now, start a regular Fortnite match in the playlist of your choosing. Things might seem normal at first because even with first-person mode enabled, activities like walking around, drinking Shields, and throwing Grenades all work the same. However, the moment you get your hands on an Assault Rifle, Combat Shotgun, or Combat SMG, you'll notice immediately whether the glitch is working or not.

You'll also notice that select weapons, like DMRs and Tactical Assault Rifles, are not currently optimized for first-person mode in Fortnite and tend to mess the glitch up. But feel free to experiment and see how everything operates inside the first-person mode glitch!

To disable the Fortnite first-person mode glitch, head back to Save the World and turn off the first-person camera.

Can you get banned for using the first-person mode glitch?

No, you won't get banned for using this glitch. Unlike a lot of other glitches and exploits in Fortnite, swapping to first-person mode in its current state is more of a hindrance than a benefit. This glitch is buggy right now, and you'll find that it's easier to just play in third-person mode outside of the novelty of it.

Furthermore, opposing players won't even be able to tell that you're playing Fortnite in first-person mode via this glitch.

Is Fortnite getting an official first-person mode?

While rumours have been flying for quite some time regarding a Fortnite first-person mode, this glitch all but confirms it. The only reason this glitch works is because Epic Games recently added a bunch of first-person mode files to Battle Royale, leading to players being able to use their guns from a first-person perspective.

With this development, it's safe to say that an official first-person mode is right around the corner. When that time comes, expect a more finished product than what's available with the first-person mode glitch.
