Fortnitemares 2024 is on the horizon, and Fortnite's annual Halloween event looks like it may be a big one, with a lot of rumours and leaks suggesting some big crossovers will be occurring throughout October.
Check out everything we know so far and about what could be coming.
What we know from rumours & leaks so far
According to HypeX, the mini event that leads up to Fortnitemares is set to debut on October 1, with the full event beginning between October 11-15.
Disney Villains
Starting with something that's actually confirmed to be coming to the game but has no actual date, back at the D23 Expo, it was announced that various Disney villains would be making their way to Fortnite.
The only release window we have for this is 2024 still, meaning it could happen after Fortnitemares has ended, but Halloween is a perfect time for the darker side of the Disney to join the game.
Villains like Captain Hook, Cruella de Vil, and Maleficent are confirmed, but hopefully more like Ursula or Jafar are also up for consideration.
Saw Crossover
One of the biggest rumours so far is that a Saw crossover will be coming to the game. The main source for this is a leak from Twitter user Xgamer360, who showed some files for the game that also featured an image of Billy the Puppet from the franchise.
Since then, a TV that can be found in the attic of the Castle Doom location has switched to constant static, and many believe this TV will feature an image of Billy soon to officially confirm the Saw crossover.
Alongside this another item named the 'Boom Billy' has been leaked via HYPEX on Twitter. This item will spawn a Billy Bike that follows a targeted player, eventually exploding after a short time.
This item will also play the iconic "Do you want to play a game?" line from the films to the player, getting them in the spooky mood before their likely elimination.
Skeletor
Fortnite leaker Wensoing has claimed that Skeletor, the villain from Masters of the Universe, will also be coming to the game.
While no date was given, there is a good chance Fortnitemares may be it, considering he's literally an evil skeleton. What better event to debut He-Man's archnemesis?
Marshmello
The renowned electronic music producer and DJ Marshmello is also revealed to be arriving as a skin in Fortnitemares, following on from his Icon Series set all the way back in Season 7.
This particular reveal looks to be far more spooky though, with a black suit and neon purple eyes, taking on the scary theme of the event.
While some fans might be feeling tired of another Marshmello collab, it will definitely remain a popular choice for players.
Leatherface
There are few horror icons bigger than Leatherface, and the chainsaw-wielding villain from the Texas Chainsaw Massacre has been confirmed as a skin in Fortnitemares.
The skin-wearing beast is no stranger to the world of gaming either, with a dedicated Texas Chainsaw game released in 2023, alongside an appearance in Dead by Daylight.
His debut in Fortnite is definitely going to be a big one then, as there are not many things you'd rather see around the corner than this particular skin.
