The Grapple Glider introduces a brand-new way to traverse the Island. A Grappler and Glider hybrid, this Ranged Consumable Item adds a new element to mobility in Fortnite. Available with the v22.40 Update, follow our rundown of this new item in the game.
Where can you find Grapple Gliders?
Grapple Gliders are available via Floor Loot, Chests, Chrome Chests, Supply Drops, and Supply Llamas.
How to use Grapple Gliders
An obvious use for the Grapple Glider is escaping sticky situations and rotating with haste, but it's also a very effective tool for build fights. Lose the high ground to your opponent? Use the Grapple Glider to pull yourself up to their level when they least expect it.
Furthermore, the Grapple Glider can save your life when the structures beneath you come crashing down. With some quick reflexes, you can use it to latch onto a sturdy surface and then whip out your Glider to avoid fall damage.
What does the Grapple Glider do?
The Grapple Glider is what it sounds like, a Grappler mixed with a Glider. It functions like a regular Grappler, except upon gaining enough height, users get a prompt to redeploy their Glider.
Those familiar with Jules' Glider Gun and Batman Grapnel Gun will find that the Grapple Glider behaves in a near-identical manner.
As for stats, the Fortnite Grapple Glider sports the following:
- Fire Rate: 1
- Magazine Size: 10
- Reload Time: 1.26s
If you still need Account Levels to unlock the Fortnite Chrome Punk Skin, there is a Week 9 Quest to glide 250 metres with the Grapple Glider in one shot.
