While Fortnite is known for its hectic firefights and sweaty behaviour, there are times when playing slightly more cautiously works better for players. Luckily, the latest item drop has delivered new ways to survive encounters and help you complete a challenge to hide in different bushes that you’ve thrown down.
However, you may have forgotten how to do this and need a refresher, or it’s your first time coming across this new mechanic.
How do you hide in bushes that you throw down?
To hide in bushes that you throw down in Fortnite - also known as the Bush Bomb - all you need to do is stand inside them. This item is really useful, because unfortunately, sometimes bushes in Fortnite can be outside of the circle, end up destroyed, or are few and far between.
If you run into that situation, the newly added Bush Bomb can help you out, and these are found across the map - but are much rarer than other items you can pick up.
Once you have one in your possession, you will be able to throw it down and use it to hide within it. You can even throw down multiple and make a small wilderness area around yourself.
For this week’s challenge - which asks you to hide in different bushes you’ve thrown down - you will only need to use two. As we've said, once you have them on the ground, simply stand inside each of them to complete the challenge.
Bush Grenades are also great if you equip the Augment known as Bush Warrior, which regenerates your health while standing inside one. Using these two together is a great tactic, and may even swing the Fortnite match in your favour.
Be sure to also find out if the Pump Shotgun is back in Fortnite.
