One of the most notable additions in Fortnite is the Shockwave Hammer, which has essentially replaced the long-standing Shockwave Grenades. It’s a powerful tool and one that allows you to quickly escape the heat of battle.
But did you know there’s a glitch you can use to constantly use its power without having to let it recharge? If you want to know how to use the infinite hammer glitch in Fortnite, here’s exactly what you need to do.
How do you perform the infinite hammer glitch?
First things first, you’re going to want to get yourself a Shockwave Hammer. These can be quite hard to come across, but if you’re struggling to find one, look on the map for locations that have gold text, as these are often areas where rarer loot will pop up.
Usually, a hammer grants you four charges to bounce away - or five if you find the super-rare gold variant. With this infinite hammer glitch, that restriction goes away and you are able to bounce as many times as you want, confusing enemies and allowing you to speed across the map with ease.
In order to perform it, simply find a body of water with the hammer in hand and try to bounce with the hammer at the same time it touches the water.
It may take a few attempts, but if done correctly, you will be able to continuously bounce simply by pressing the jump button over and over again. It won’t run out and you will become a force to be reckoned with across the map.
However, it is worth noting that this should be performed at your own risk. While we imagine Epic Games will disable this glitch very, very soon, in the interim, you run the risk of getting reported and potentially losing your Fortnite account.
